Deep Strike, an asymmetrical mode where one team attacks and the other defends important industrial facilities at several locations, returns again this weekend!
When: From October 31st (12:00 GMT) until November 3rd (12:00 GMT)
Where: Navigate to Events and Tournaments in the hangar -> Deep Strike
We’re using Deep Strike as a testing ground for ideas that we’re exploring for a new type of operation in World War Mode, called Aerial Warfare. Catch up with all the details surrounding Deep Strike in our previous news article about it here. Below, we’ll go over what has changed since the first iteration of the mode.
Changes:
- A new mission variant on the Vietnam map has been added.
- The durability of infrastructure buildings has been reduced, making them easier to destroy.
- Infrastructure has been made slightly damaged at the start of the mission, making it easier for the attackers to see it and destroy it. We’ve made this change in this test because in Aerial Warfare, the operation where Deep Strike will be available in within World War Mode, infrastructure will often already be damaged due to previous battles occurring. We want to test how it will be under regular battle conditions.
Give Deep Strike another try this weekend from October 31st (12:00 GMT) until November 3rd (12:00 GMT) or try it out for the first time if you missed the first iteration!
Get ready for intense aerial battles that will require teamwork and excellent piloting skills, and be sure to share your thoughts about this event with us. See you in the skies!

Comments will be premoderatedAnd now combine it for EC SIM and or RB! All airfields + some logistic elements are protected by long range SAM sights: Normal battlefield things in the middle "frontline" with FOB (Bases) and the usual objectives ESP for RB the potential is big and we would love it. The USP of WT would be enhanced by 100x
yes please sim needs some love and modernization very badly. its the best mode to enjoy modern jets in wt but it needs a refresh
I cannot stress enough how desperately a game mode like this is needed. And it must stay permanently, not like Naval EC that's barely open. Please don't fumble this golden opportunity.
And again no option to rearm or repair helicopters, making them completly unusable as soon as one bullet hits the fuselage and your weapons dont function anymore.
Please add the following: 1. Option to respawn in a 'wave' of 4 or 8 (wait) or immediately as a lone wolf. 2. Option to fly A-6 or F-4 3. Let A-6 bring precision guided munitions (no AIM-9L) 4. Let F-4 bring mavericks
Hopefully the helicopters are not useless this time? Would really like to use the helicopters but was near impossible to use even while trying to be sneaky with them.
This is such an incredible mode. Favourite for sure, glad yall continue this
has the attacking team ever won?
Will it contribute to Pancake progress? 🤔
Nope, you can earn points towards XF5U in random air battles, not in events, sorry.
In both the SEAD mission and this the defenders imo have been far superior, nice to see they're adding QOL fixes to give the attackers half a chance
I think you need to increase the number of attackers, because when I played on the defending team, we were like 15 MiGs against 4 Phantoms, and we couldn't get any kills because the Phantoms were shot down by the AA. In short, the Phantom side was fun because you tried to bomb and survive, while the MiG side consisted of going round and round until you got dizzy and couldn't find anything to shoot down.
