Recently, Bluewater fleet naval trees were extended to rank VII, and as a result we’ve now updated the research system to make progression faster and more balanced overall. The infographic shows the updated cost for researching and purchasing Bluewater fleet ships at each rank for each nation.
The cost of researching and purchasing Bluewater fleet ships at ranks I-VII has been altered (generally reduced). Values of the following parameters have been changed: the purchase price in Silver Lions, the crew cost, the Expert crew price, the price of modifications in Silver lions, the amount of research points needed to research a vessel, and the amount of research points needed to unlock modifications.
Note that the calculations do not take into account grouped vehicles, since their research and purchase are not required to advance through the Bluewater fleet research trees.

Amazing changes, now I can already research the Von der Tann, when I would've needed another year to get it otherwise
Merciful snail, first 109 T-2 and now this? Where can I deliver my firstborn?
Would the already purchased modifications be refunded like the Night vision?
No.
When will this go into effect?
Now :)
Any chance to check the RP costs of mods for old event vehicles? Sometimes they're over twice as much as vehicles in the main tree with similar BR/tier. For example, the USS Baltimore requires 167k RP to space meanwhile USS Roanoke (same BR/Rank) requires only 84k.
Cost depends on rank and place in rank.
Stona_WT, If it would, then what I wrote about wouldn't exist :) Feel free to check that ship, it's Rank V with 6.3 BR same as the Roanoke I mentioned, or any other 6.3 ship.
what about submarine's?
There are no submarines in desktop version of War Thunder. You can find them in War Thunder Mobile.
Hello, while this is a welcome change, I think this is only a bandaid to the deep issues with the game mode and playstyle surrounding naval. Naval needs a game mode, and tech tree rework.
Good, but not enough
