In this digest we would like to tell you about our continuing work on improvements and fixes in the game. You can find information about all updates that have been released in War Thunder on the website special section.
Continuing to improve digging
In one of the recent publications of “It’s fixed!”, we told you about the optimization of performance and general improvements to terramorphing and reported on further priorities to refine the interaction of vehicles with terraformed surfaces.
It’s done! We significantly improved the behavior of the vehicles in trenches and craters created with blades and shovels. Vehicles as well as the gunner’s sights shouldn’t twitch anymore.
Fixed the “flying” thermal imager
A rather critical bug was allowing the gunner's thermal imager to run without being in gunner view, but while using 3rd person view. We want to thank all the players that reported this problem to us separately.
It’s fixed now. The thermal imager is back in its place.
Retrained air defense
We are already paying a lot of attention to air defense in air battles: improving the working logic, adding more modern means of protection. Now our focus is on protecting airfields for aircraft and helicopters in combined battles. Let’s see what has been changed:
We have streamlined the number of cannons on all airfields. So now, while you are being repaired, you will be assiduously covered by 4 large-calibre cannons and 6 automatic medium-calibre cannons.
Improved the logic of air defense firing towards helicopter pads. They now fire evenly instead of short sparse fire bursts that sometimes cause unexpectedly excessive and instant damage. Also, beyond the maximum firing range, air defense will fire warning shots that should scare away some of the fans of easy targets and clearly notify them of entering the danger zone.
An additional improvement is that we have increased the update rate for the targets that have left the target zone so the air defense system will stop firing shots faster. If you ran away, why waste shells?
More improvements
For this digest we have prepared a large set of useful fixes and game improvements. Be sure to read the full list which we have prepared in the separate changelog - there are many interesting things.
Once again, many thanks for all your bug reports that you submitted in our bug report section on the War Thunder forums.

Gaijin, seriously STOP IT, just get rid of the airfield aa in Air RB already! We are ALL sick of every.single.match. being turned into "camping simulator" as 1 jerk drags what should be an 8 minute match into 23, and you made mid map AA so fricking broken you can't even try to bleed tickets without some Gaz truck ripping your engine out! This is NOT fun, its NOT balanced and is so painful on lower tiers I've stopped trying to get new people to play as it is nothing but suffering!
It could be just easily fixed by making the proper ground targets more common, so there would be still something to use in order to bleed the enemy tickets, and earn points/SL/RP in some other way.
You are so ignorant
What's the problem with AAA? It's necessary in the game. Why people hate them this much?
the only purpose it servers is to be abused by camping jerks
they like strafing ppl to hell
Airfield AA does not belong in WT! Airfield AA does not belong in WT! Airfield AA does not belong in WT!
I guess you never even happened to play Aircraft in the Ground RB, and be spawn camped right after spawning. This is a common issue.
Neither does strafing on the runway. AAA belongs in WT. Just learn to deal with it.
y'all in the comments are really going on the extremes instead of looking for reasonable solutions lmao
First time in internet? ;)
Stona_WT, I suffer with you Stona, just sad that people are so angry and frustrated when you actually try to fix something, there are alot of flaws in the game, but you try, yet you take all the blame. The management should be hated instead of you.
I love bugfix releases. Keep up fixing them <3

AAA in ARB serves no purpose other to be abused, please remove it
So what you want is for the bases only protection from instant game-ending bombers to be removed? ~~true its useless past 8.0~~ but not below that,
KittenOfWar, In most missions, airfields can no longer be destroyed, only the mini-bases (at least at higher tiers).
When will you finally fix the bug with the random aim flickers? It were months since I reported it.
Yes, Gaijin please look at this issue. Its flustrating, also gun interaction with near by objects its painfull! Got killed by it many times.... Gun just go up for no reason. Watch this YT video from Orangefan 2:38.....gun went up because near post....wich is non sence to me...THX in advance :-* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yK0n4CW5hc&t=1504s
This Wallpaper with the HE177 is really awesome. Is there a High-Res option available? Thx

"Remove airfield AA" is an irrational train of thought, and it's unfortunate to see so many comments echoing that sentiment. In truth, if you're upset that some players might abuse their airfield's AA defenses, maybe you should try for aerial and ground-based AI to get a ticket majority. It's hardly as exciting as shooting down player-controlled aircraft, but it at least guarantees a win. Indeed, in my experience, losing ticket majority because your airfield camping did the opposite of what ...
Oof @ the character limit. If the campers want to waste time, let them. Losing a ticket majority usually coaxes them out of AA defense range, but even if it doesn't, you can still win on time-out if you seized a majority.
Shad0wChaser, Worth a mention... most of the people whining don't realize that a pillbox offers more sl/rp per kill than an enemy jet.
Fix the goddamn RWR glitch on the F-5C and F8s that have been going on for over two weeks.
