We are happy to inform you that in one of the future War Thunder updates a new playable nation will appear - Israel! Despite its youth, the Israeli armed forces are rightfully considered one of the most combat-ready armies in the world, and Israel's military forces are an interesting alloy of foreign vehicles with advanced domestic machines.
In the upcoming War Thunder update "Ground Breaking", two premium aircraft from the early access packs will be added to the Israeli aviation lineup. The owners of the packs will be the first to get access to the closed beta testing of the aviation tech tree of the new playable nation, that will begin in the next major update after the upcoming “Ground Breaking” update. Prior to Israeli aviation CBT, early access pack owners will be able to participate in aircraft random battles and prepare their crews!
Spitfire LF Mk IXe by Ezer Weizman
One of the most successful modifications of the legendary Spitfire in the livery of the personal aircraft of Ezer Weizman, a RAF veteran pilot, who later became the commander of the Israeli Air Force, and subsequently became the president of the nation!
In addition to the perfect maneuverability and excellent speed at low and medium altitudes, this aircraft carries 8 cm Flz.-Rakete Oerlikon rockets, unique to the game, with a shaped-charged warhead and an armor penetration value up to 300mm.
A-4E Skyhawk (Late)
A late Israeli modification of one of the best strike aircraft in the game! The aircraft features a new armament of 2х30mm DEFA guns, a parachute, and an elongated tail. The premium Skyhawk carries a large payload of various suspended weapons - bombs up to 2,000 pounds, Zuni and Mighty Mouse rockets, gun pods, and the AGM-62 Walleye guided bombs
A wonderful strike aircraft and the best choice to accelerate the research of high-ranking Israeli aviation!

Unlike all other game nations, Israeli tech tree won't start from Rank 1. We will share more details in future.
What about Yugoslavia?
That would have been the sensible choice
SPARTAN21, Yugoslavia still has copy paste tanks but at least a lot of them are very unique which will make them worth the grind and at least Yugoslavia has enough tanks to fill up a whole tech tree, honestly I have no idea how this game still has players.
I really wish the it is a joke.
This is a April fool's prank that's 6 months late... ...right?... ...Right!?
Is this going to be a sub tree for the US/France ? Because as a independent tree this is going to be horrible, with all copy paste vehicles
Nah, that'd be stupid.
SuTheFox, it worked well with south africa...
Imagine finish old tech tree before add new one
Just stop it, i thought the point with new nations was new and intresting vehicles, this is just a bunch of copy paste up until 1950s era vehicles and after that we already have those vehicles in game. Did you run out of ideas?
Alot Israelis equipment is different from the nations that supplied it. The super Sherman is a example . alot of planes purchased had different options also . We can now get the Mervkava by grinding ect
It makes more sense than adding Israeli vehicles to at least 4 other tech trees.
Seems Gaijin forgot their roots as a WWII-era combat simulator... While I have nothing against the Israelites themselves, and I'm happy they're getting recognition in WT, but, there's the question how will you fill Israel's lower tiers? It was a post-WWII nation (1948), and the lowest you can go with them is late-war equipment that is mostly lend-lease. I think there could have been better candidates like Romania, Czechoslovakia or Hungary, which participated in WWII, and have unique vehicels.
War Thunder was never an WW2 game. Since the beginning we got post WW2 machines.
All answers (4)Stona_WT, My point is, we begin at WWI/early-WWII era vehicles, then progress to modern-day. Israel already gets a leg up on everyone else due to not having that early tier equipment other nations have, since by the time they were formed that technology was far obsolete. With Israel it breaks the status quo of every other nation in-game.
Yes because the PT-76, ASU-57, R3, EBR are all WW2 era vehicles... Israel used plenty of WW2 vehicles on top of that.
