The T-72AV (TURMS-T) is a Soviet T-72AV tank modernized for the Syrian army. The TURMS fire control system, developed by the Italian company Officine Galileo, was previously used on C1 Ariete tanks. In the early 2000’s, this fire control system was adopted for the T-72.
The system significantly improves the tank's vision capabilities, thanks to the commander's panoramic sight. It also features a high-quality thermal imaging gunner's sight, which allows the tank to effectively perform combat missions at night and in poor visibility conditions. By 2006, 122 TURMS kits were produced for the Syrian army.
- T-72AV (Rank 6 USSR) - available after the next major update;
- 2000 Golden Eagles;
- Premium account for 15 days.
- Pre-order bonus: unique "Assault rifle" 3d decoration - available after the next major update;
- Pre-order bonus: unique "Desert Lion" title.
In our game, the T-72AV (TURMS-T) is a Premium tank of rank VI, it is part of the special "Pre-order - Т-72AV (TURMS-T) Pack". In combat, the T-72AV (TURMS) combines excellent firepower with new vision capabilities. The commander's panoramic sight provides an all-round view of the battlefield.
The gunner now has one of the best thermal imagers in the game, which gives a great advantage in detecting enemy vehicles not only at night, but also during the day. The T-72AV (TURMS-T) is equipped with Kontakt-1 ERA protection. The disadvantages of the vehicle include the low reverse speed, same as the basic version of the tank, and the absence of guided anti-tank missiles.
However, several types of APFSDS shells and a powerful chemical AP round are capable of defeating any enemy on the ground. It is also worth mentioning that the T-72AV (TURMS-T), like all Premium vehicles in the game, brings additional income in Silver Lions and, most importantly, significantly speeds up the research of any Soviet tank, of any tier - including the top ones!

Stona_WT is there a chance japan get something new for their top tier lineup? Or the Type 93's missiles get fixed?
I actually think this is a good addition, by letting noobs buying a T72, you flushed the top tier Russian team with one life warrior also. Now every nation can have equal amount of early quitters thus balance the team composition. GG for Gaijin's very creative idea for balance
If this is premium, then I think this is "official", that Gaijin has went to Pay-to-win type of scheme, starting from XM-1, which was a small start, later uptiered respectively, and then the ongoing bias with Ka-50 implementation. I remember someone said that Gaijin said they wont do any pay-to-win schemes at top tiers, it was back when Ka-50's were released from Pandoras box.
Why pay-to-win? Its just a T-72A with thermal sights.
How many competetive MBT's will they have now?
2x more than eny other nation
T-80U , T72B3 , T-90A
Italians do it better
It looks like a good addition! Will there be anything for China this update, or is that classified until further notice?
they're probably going to give china 1 single vehicle like every other update and then forget about the tech tree for another 6 months.
Look another russian MBT while other country have 1 or 3 MBT..
You said it is a big update. Well hope that it isnt big just for one nation. That you will add same amount of vehicles to minor nations aswell. I am US main player but god damn. Give minor nations SAME treatment as you are giving Russia now. 3 top tier vehicles for Russia, 2 top tier for Germany. Not even showing something for USA (so theres no big 3, it was always only big 2 and USA was sideshot). Give 2 mbts to France, Japan, China, Italy, Sweden.
Yeah but u forgot that 1. Germany suffers in the current meta 2. Sweden has nothing after the STRV122 they could add the 122B but sweden has the best Leo in game rn
Fresquez, There's still many many more CV90 varieties they can add.
Yeah, give Russia another top tier jet and MBT to reinforce one of the strongest line ups in game, instead of focusing on other tech trees that could actually use vehicles to fill BR gaps *cough* M-50 Mk. II for France mid tier *cough*
And before you know it everyone is playing Russia and Russia will fight Russia beceause other countries do not get more contents anymore so why bother ? Amazing way of balancing the content, wow !
