Special: Climbing the ranks with Swedish aircraft
Attention! Outdated news format. Content may not display correctly.
Update 1.95 "Northern wind" brings a whole new fleet of aircraft to Air Battles. Let’s welcome… the first Swedish planes in War Thunder! It took a long time for the Swedish aviation industry to pick up steam, and at the start the Swedish government often opted for buying foreign designs. That’s why you’ll see quite a few familiar fuselages at low ranks.

Nice Video, Too bad i cannot climb the Swedish Tech Tree as it is locked behind a paywall and i'm not going to aimlessly grind for it as Operation F.R.O.S.T is going on
They have done it like this for YEARS!!! And the only thing you have to do to get into the CBT for free. Get 12 medals. And to get a medal you need 5 wins with 60% battle activity. And with a vehicle with Rank 3 or higher. So you don't have to do any thing special. Just play the game. But it sounds like that's to much work for many of you people's...
You dont need to grind or pay anything. All CBTs come to a close within the next major, so from 1.97 the tree will be open to anyone.
Nice but what about fixing the game?
The game is being fixed on a daily basis, you just need to check the correct section :) https://warthunder.com/en/game/changelog/
Any news on fixing the aiming on the STRV 103-0, mid to long range engagements are really hard and in IRL it was easy and smooth to aim ?
The J28 has more than twice the module RP cost than the other Vampires in the game, unless you count the current module sale which excldes it, making it
Okay, slipped on enter which posts early... The J28 has more than twice the module RP cost than the other Vampires in the game, unless you count the current module sale which excludes it, making it FOUR times as grindy. Just one t1 modification costs more than all of the fourth tier mods combined. Gonna wait for the sale to end before I make a forum report on it, but it has the costs of a 9.0 plane at 7.3 and that's totally messed up... I hope the costs get corrected soon.
Sadly, there are quite a few inaccurate claims in the video. There seems to be confusion between the J 20 (Re.2000) and the J 9 (Seversky EP-106). The J 20 was introduced in 1941, replacing the last Gladiators, and withdrawn in 1945, by then long overdue for retirement. The J 9, however, remained in service into the 50s in a reconnaissance and trainer role. The P-51s were not rearmed in Swedish service, they retained their M2s (SE designation m/45).
Premature...maybe you should have waited until everyone could employ your advice? Just a thought...
Everyone can take advantage of this. The Swedish CBT can be access via tasks, purchasing a pack or simply waiting until the next major update when its open to everyone.
Hi there, will we see the SAAB Draken or especially the SAAB Viggen in the next update? Or are they to come later? Please.
