Climbing the ranks with...German tanks!
Attention! Outdated news format. Content may not display correctly.
The German tech tree contains a lot of interesting vehicles: from lightly-armoured self-propelled guns to the heaviest tank clad in the thickest of armour… and all the way to the most modern MBTs.

We need new German tanks between in between 4.7-5.7 and from 6.3-7.3. Give Ger some of the VK series tanks which were left in prototype state and some of the Leopard prot.
Would LOVE that added to the games
Especially if the early Leo proto replaces the monstrosity that is the Panther II.
How about A Game where these Vehicles could be played as supposed too?? I.e not that Pz.IV Vs 1970s pizza Cars and AIrborne Ruski SPGs. Or for that matter the USELESS Maus Vs 60-70s US MBTs. just go home, gaijin ur just facepalm all over
because yeah a game where a team of tiger2s and MAUS tanks go against shermans and comewells would be so fun...
WT_CT_Center, T29/T30/T34 Vs King Tiger and Maus Vs IS-3 and Tortoise, I.e historical Line-Ups with years of service and MEANT years of service for prototypes and such.
good thinmg the maps suit german vehicles.... oh wait they dont
If you use them sight then the map doesnt matter, sure a Leopard is better on Kursk than on advance to the rhine but your playstile also takes a heavy part in beeing succesfull or not. I personally perform quite well with german and russian tanks but can't really Play with american or british ones because they have a different playstile.
LPFlore, all of the maps are arcade maps .... top tier is borring atm and i havent played the game for 6 months cuz of the crap maps
According to official records the Tiger 1's frontal armor should be at 120mm thickness. Last i checked in Game it was only 105mm. If this could be fixed that would be great. Also, Fun fact. A German Tiger Tank driver from WWII said that when the main gun fired you had to open your mouth otherwise your ear drums would expload. P.S. Keep up the great work on the Game. You are the Best War Thunder.
What's the source on those records?
Tiger 1 had a fun mantlet thickness of 120mm. The rest of the frontal armor is 100mm. So as of right now the Tiger actually has a few more mm of armor than it should.
Always been fascinated by German armour of WW2.But, not sure the point of this presentation...an info ad to attract more players to the German tech tree maybe? Started playing WT with a focus on the Germans (on a Surface Pro believe it or not-have a gaming computer now). Only nation I have completed to date. Frustrated by almost continually being up-tiered. Don't play my German equipment much anymore. Maybe some BR tinkering might be in order, Gajiin. Still, … a great game platform.
100% agreed. I'm researching the tree - only have the TAM left. I rarely play high-tiers because of the up-tiering and biased repair costs for flak etc. Need to flesh out the tree properly, reevaluate the BRs (or fix the up-tiering silliness). The up-tiering is to satisfy players who worship Fury and White Tiger etc: any 'Jerry-bashing is good Jerry-bashing' (even if that means rolling a IS7 out against a Pz 2 and saying 'balanced') :)
would be nice to see some of the spg variants of the Sd.Kfz. 251
plz say Panzer instead. goddamn it! I hate this old man slow ass talking, it sounds SO frustrating. And you don't have to say the darn line written in text above the clip, that is painful
its not funny being a Tiger 1 playing versus T29/30/34 ... WW2 tanks versus COLD WAR tanks is not fair.
The t29 is not a cold war tank......
You know, the Panzerwerfer would sound a LOT more amazing if... You know... Every single other MLRS didn't use the exact same sound for no reason!
Two of my favorite German tanks are the Tiger H1 and the Panzer IV
