Newer players and tankers grinding bombers and CAS vehicles should take note of the fact that the B-29 was the only bomber highlighted. Players who regularly fly air realistic battles should have noticed the unusually high volume of B-17s currently being deployed in air RB as well as the low average win ratio of battles at this B.R. spread. I would like to suggest to them an alternative vehicle that would suit their needs while also being more capable and with better survivability. Any Ideas?
At BR 5, if you can live without bomb sights, the F82 (2x2000lb, ~1100kg of explosives). This is just a bit less than the B17e models can carry and the F82 is a good heavy fighter on the side. At BR 5.7 - 6.0, I don't think an alternative to the B24/B17g exists currently. So the best thing American players can do is skip to the b29 or grind some in Arcade (B17/B24 don't do that good in AB either).
Flying as allies is painful. How can you be expected to advance when you rarely win??
Presenting the US Plane techtree without mentioning iconic P40 kittyhawk, P51 Mustang or B17 Flying Fortress? SHAME ON YOU GAIJIN
Will Bong’s P-38 ever be available again? I missed that event in 2016 and would really like to collect that plane.
How about the AM-1 Mauler, it is really good in ground attack role, with tons of bombs or three torpedoes.
Would be pretty nice to have the 3 diffirent smoke that i can select on the plane again. i would totaly buy that because many people missed it
Gaijin why are rank 7 tanks playing on rank 1 designed maps? I have never seen worse game play from a shooter in my life.
Most maps in early rank battles are simply a smaller portion of a larger map. An example would be, (I know these aren't accurate but close enough) Foggy Albion (rank 1-2), Battle of Britain (rank 1-4), Boulogne Sur Mer (rank 3-10). Many of the "Master" maps, or the maps in their largest iteration can be found in enduring confrontation. I hope this helps!
NewEnglander, FoolOnTheHill is talking about tank battles, probably tank AB from his statement. You are talking about Air battles :D. And he is right, some maps are extremely small and unsuited for high tier tank battles (especially if you can aim from one spawn to the other). To answer his question: Most likely because there are not enough maps suited specifically for high BR tank fights. Gaijin does not want to have only 5 maps on repeat. At least that is my guess.
So I understand the F6F and the P47, they are essentially BR 5 (AB) planes that sit at BR 3 and obliterate everything in their path, especially when an experienced pilot fights the average BR 3 crowd. But why no mention of the outstanding P51 Mustang with the Hispanos? It's not as under-tiered as the other two, but it's still a monster that can go toe to toe with many BR 6 planes. At BR 4, picking that plane is almost mandatory...
Speaking of the P-61, when will you add the feature to lock the gun turret forwards and use it as main armament? You said you would do this at a later date back when it was first added.
A-36, P-47D-25 and 28, F6F-5, and the premium Bf-109 F4, A6M2 and XF5F is a great all-round lineup for my Arcade battles 3.7 BR lineup. Each plane has a role in which it shines which is perfect for the different modes you come across in arcade!
Odd tech tree line up. No P51's? No P 40? No Mitchell or B17 or B24? No premium Bf109 f-4? BR three and four the P51 should be somewhere in the line up and one of the bombers mentioned. Some of the higher Corsairs are killers also.
