In the upcoming economy update we will focus on the overly expensive repair of heavy bombers. Repair prices, awards for base bombing and costs for suspended weaponry will be corrected and all this will make flying out in heavy bombers much less risky and more affordable for average players. This will of course have an effect on any kind of bombing attack from all bomb capable aircraft.
In addition to the automatic balancing (manual adjustment being done regularly after major updates) of Battle Ratings in War Thunder, there is also an automatic algorithm that is responsible for the game economy. Among its tasks are also the adjustment of repair prices depending on the average earnings of the specific vehicles. Bombers possess base destruction as a unique goal which brings greater income, however, heavy bombers find themselves in a situation over time where prices for repair automatically increase to a substantial amount. This has made flying out in them an economically risky business for players.
Repair cost of some bombers will be reduced !
To solve this problem it would not be enough to simply reduce the award for base bombing and therefore the repair cost because even within one rank the aircraft may have very different carrying capacities which would result in a situation where lightweight bombers would receive a low amount of awards. We believe that the optimal solution is an algorithm that adjusts the award value for base bombing based on the current bomb load. This in turn will reduce the repair cost of some bombers and will not affect the total income of the vehicles even with a low bomb load in any battle result.
For example: a Tu-2S-44 (BR 6.0) with 2,000 kg of bombs will receive a decent award for successful base bombing and the B-24D-25-CO (BR 6.0) with 3,600 kg bombs in turn will not reflect twice the repair costs of the Tu-2S.
The algorithm will affect only awards for base bombing and will not affect other battle awards in any way. So bombers will still retain the ability to provide their pilots with stable Silver Lion earnings.
Full table
The data presented in the table is preliminary and may change during the development process.
We constantly revisit and revise economy changes and will look again at all areas. For now we plan to make these specific changes that affect all bomb capable aircraft at the beginning of October. We would be happy to receive your opinions and suggestions on this topic.

So, the bigger the bomb load equals: more rewards and higher repair costs? I don't see how that makes it better. Maybe I don't understand but, why not just lower the total repair costs of the most expensive planes that are easy targets, like the B-29? Or make the rewards higher when they do actually survive? The repair cost shouldn't have anything do to with rewards. The risky part is that most bombers are an easy target and die often and that is why people are complaining about repair costs.
So when does the Leopard 2a5 get a reduced repair cost.
thanks, havent been able to play bomber without premium for a bit like my he177, 36k repair bill? im sorry to say but the teams iq must have been averaging around 15 when you tards came up with the expensive repairs
Can't say for RB and SB, but bring Air AB in line with tank, or better, naval AB. Make it 5 tickets per match for every player (3 fighter flyouts max), all start with some 400 spawn points, fighters cost 0 sp, heavy fighters and attackers 250, light bombers 300, medium 400, heavy 650, give out activity and rewards for fighters staying close to bombers as escorts so players actually go and help them. Let matches progress naturally to avoid 217 spam at minute 0.
Also: Dynamic spawns. Seriously, one of the biggest issues for bombers in arcade is 1-2 enemy players close guarding the spawn and picking off every single one of them. Same for fighters, trying to get rid of a 4 player squad 109s right above your spawn can be godawful. It is air arcade. we all spawn in the air. Why can't we use the entire back of our side of the map to at least make it a bit easier to come back?
SP cost could also be tied to maximum carry capacity, although that might hurt stock bombers a bit until they unlock their loadouts.
hmm pe-8 decreased in cost slightly.. >_> Smells like imma just gon quit then
Gaijin Do you think that the silver lion is an item that must be replenished to get money? Do you think that if you modify the benefits of truth and history, there will be more people to buy 288, a2d? Tencent does not have such a taste for you.
Do you think the bomber is very survivable? Can I return to the airport every time I attack? This situation is usually <30%. This means that every time you use a bomber/attack machine, you will lose money. Do you think this will boost the sales of the coin machine?
Do you think that players who use low-level and high-efficiency gold coins to make money in the history of the land will earn more or buy gold coins to make more money? Then, do you want to change the income of the land war?
"all bomb capable aircraft". 73% of fighters also carry bomb, especially US.
A lot of those fighters are actually listed in the detailed changes.
In bad summary. The B-29 is a viable option. Bomber economy is less dynamic. You can play several game in a row without going into debt on a bad skill streak. You're gonna make a little over your bomber's repair cost with the bombing of a single base. Turret kills are more of an income now. I'm happy we can fly the 29 now. But also saddened it's less of a high risk high reward type gameplay.
B-29 still at 51k repaircosts?
People are complaining about how bombers have less profit now, BUT, they did not touch the profits of bombing player controlled tanks in mixed battles. Let's see some Halifax carpet bombing formations, shall we? Once I killed 5 tanks in a single bombing run with Halifax, and from medium altitude.
Somehow recently I got away with bombing 3 bases in Air AB in a French N.C.223.3, flew it heavily damaged over the enemy airfield, dropped my bombs from an altitude of over 5000 meters, and destroyed an enemy aircraft with bombs as well as damaging the airfield. Other times the same plane is spawn killed by BF-109's...
