In the upcoming economy update we will focus on the overly expensive repair of heavy bombers. Repair prices, awards for base bombing and costs for suspended weaponry will be corrected and all this will make flying out in heavy bombers much less risky and more affordable for average players. This will of course have an effect on any kind of bombing attack from all bomb capable aircraft.
In addition to the automatic balancing (manual adjustment being done regularly after major updates) of Battle Ratings in War Thunder, there is also an automatic algorithm that is responsible for the game economy. Among its tasks are also the adjustment of repair prices depending on the average earnings of the specific vehicles. Bombers possess base destruction as a unique goal which brings greater income, however, heavy bombers find themselves in a situation over time where prices for repair automatically increase to a substantial amount. This has made flying out in them an economically risky business for players.
Repair cost of some bombers will be reduced !
To solve this problem it would not be enough to simply reduce the award for base bombing and therefore the repair cost because even within one rank the aircraft may have very different carrying capacities which would result in a situation where lightweight bombers would receive a low amount of awards. We believe that the optimal solution is an algorithm that adjusts the award value for base bombing based on the current bomb load. This in turn will reduce the repair cost of some bombers and will not affect the total income of the vehicles even with a low bomb load in any battle result.
For example: a Tu-2S-44 (BR 6.0) with 2,000 kg of bombs will receive a decent award for successful base bombing and the B-24D-25-CO (BR 6.0) with 3,600 kg bombs in turn will not reflect twice the repair costs of the Tu-2S.
The algorithm will affect only awards for base bombing and will not affect other battle awards in any way. So bombers will still retain the ability to provide their pilots with stable Silver Lion earnings.
Full table
The data presented in the table is preliminary and may change during the development process.
We constantly revisit and revise economy changes and will look again at all areas. For now we plan to make these specific changes that affect all bomb capable aircraft at the beginning of October. We would be happy to receive your opinions and suggestions on this topic.

Pe-8 is the only bomber worth the grinding ;)
to @Gaijin - you wanna change these things? then change them but DO NOT TOUCH SIMULATOR MODE. In Sim mode nobody cares about repair costs. If you use this system the entire sim community will be dead cause bombing is central and high-risk/high-reward activity by definition. If you make it low risk-low reward there will be no point to play it. Please. DO. NOT.
They change it because there multiple complaints, some of which state the opposite. I have seen multiple posts on reddit and the forums about the bomber spam in air sim. people kept spawning - bombing - crashing- Que-ing. there was nothing high risk high reward, just quick paydays and a ruined game mode for people wanting to play fighters. the change will only teach people to be more careful to get higher rewards.
Please for God's sake, don't change SIM and don't change Fighters. Thanks.
Let me also remind there is an open bug about fixed distance convergence of defensive gunners. It seems a bit absurd to have fixed distance convergence, clearly each gunner should aim target independently. Probably the logic of ship guns should be adopted for defensive gunners.
Please so i can earn 4x more is boring to play hour to earn nothing is not iam bad becuse i am not pro or noob. I kill people and earn so Little so it takes weeks to have a new tank and other vechles. german vehicle are so bad i been killing holy time german vehicle are so underrated please fix it and all bugs some destroy all the fun
Just fly in SB, you can drop your load, crash into runway, take off again and repeat (and still stay in profit) yay....
Can change Naval Bombers & Dive Bombers to the same status as Attacker? They are basically no difference with an attacker, so they should be able to play in Assault (PvE). In late part of WW2, they are mostly used for ground/surface attack/support =) Else explain why some are carrying forward cannons and machine guns :p
Don't encourage bombers in air RB
Add repair costs to lost planes in ground AB, or at least add cost for weapons used on them. Being free, with free bombs, and free no-risk crashes, in a TANK game where every single tank shell costs at least some silver lions is ridiculous.
It's the TNT in kg that gets awarded, so Yer2-Ach30B(L)(BR4.7)'s set of 4x500kg+3x1000kg(old price 1300sl/new 585sl) which is 2394.6kg TNT is worth more and awarded less (old award 17921sl/ new 8070sl) than Do217E4(BR4.7)'s 4x1000kg(old price 900sl/new 402sl ; old award 19829sl/new 8861sl). Do217 is faster and better defended and 4x1000 is 1per bomb target and 1 on the AF. Yer's first 2x1000 drop at once and are wasted, and 1x1000 is not enough for bomb target so you have to use +500 for second
Bombs for different nations are not equal. Having less bomb weight that can deal more damage is easier to manage and beneficial for the plane speed and climb rate. 5000kg(3x1000+4x500 - 2394.6kg TNT) russian bombs are more expensive and less rewarding(2x1000 wasted on the first drop unless you drop on the AF), while slowing more the plane that's already too slow, compared to 4000kg(4x1000 - 2400kg TNT) german bombs that are also dropped separately and stored internally
You don't get reward for dropping tons of TNT on carriers, you only get reward for destroying it. Do the same with bomb targets and airfields. Tons of TNT doesn't count towards the ticket system, objectives are "destroy bomb targets"and tickets are removed when you do so, not "drop certain ammount of TNT". If some prick drops 1 bomb per bomb target without finnishing it how is that helping his team ? That will also discourage planes that are not supposed to do strategic bombing from doing so
