From July through to August of 1943, German and Soviet forces would clash at the infamous Battle of Kursk, one of the largest tank battles in history where legends such as the Tiger, Panther and T-34 clashed in ferocious combat. Beginning with the German ‘Operation Citadel’, which aimed to ensnare Soviet forces from the North and South with a pincer movement, Wehrmacht forces faced fierce resistance from the Red Army.
The battle resulted in the first time German forces were successfully halted in their advance before being able to successfully pierce key strategic points. Soviet forces managed to not only stop the German advance, but wear down their defences and resources to the point where they could launch a successful counter-offensive.

- Soviet and German machines will participate.
- There are 3 respawns available. To fly out in aircraft, you will need to earn Respawn Scores. The number of respawns on some ground vehicles is limited for the team.
- The difficulty level is “World War”. A special marker will appear above enemy vehicles that have been spotted by your crew. The usual aircraft marker, and “lead” marker for self-propelled anti aircraft guns, will be displayed. The external bombing marker (as in AB mode) is available for aircraft.
- This event has 30% SL and RP bonus.
The event series in the RB game mode offers participants battles with historical setups. In some of these battles, participants will have the opportunity to obtain additional bonuses. Events can offer battle formats that are different from random battle modes in War Thunder.

With the map rotation ill never see this map again!
I took part together with my son in some battles up until now, and it was fun. We faced much like the real historical situations than in the realistic battles. Just like the soviet veterans how spoke about their difficulties and their heroic fight in their memoirs we experienced the technical superiority of the Panzer IVs and the Tiger - although it was not enough to win in each occasion. We faced reasonable forces. :-) Great work.

This is has become very unbalanced after 3 hours. not only theres little to none soviet players the matches are very one-sided making germans win pretty much 80% of the time since the map has only 1 point in a very bad place that gives the germans a very big advantage over soviets (flanks, cover). Even the armor on KV's wont save you from swarm of Pz.IV with 140mm pen and KV's have trouble penning panzers from longer distance

I found the "World War" markers to be inconsistent and largely unnecessary, so it's a shame that they're adding it to combined battles. I can't see myself wanting to play it now, even with the SL and RP bonuses.
I was pretty interested in World War mode but it seems like I can never find a ppl to play with on that mode. Then you add this with the RB stuff. Like... please don't do that. If you want us to at least try World War mode I would suggest (something some ppl don't do... which doesn't help the situation) creating events just accustom to World War mode characteristics and whatnot
