The Korean War was the first large-scale military conflict of the “Cold War” period which actively lasted 3 years. We invite you to participate as one of the opposing forces in the conflict and to take an opportunity to compare the vehicles of the strongest opponents.
From 15:00 GMT on the 19th of July until 07:00 GMT on the 22nd of July
Join the battle for the Korean Peninsula in the sky and on the ground with historical vehicle setups (RB).
Available events:
[Operation] Korea — аircraft battles
- US, British and Soviet aviation including jet aircraft will participate in the event.
[Domination] 38th Parallel — combined battles
- US, British and Soviet ground vehicles will participate.
- There are 3 respawns available. To fly out in aircraft and some ground vehicles you need to earn Respawn Scores. The number of respawns on some ground vehicles is limited for the team.
- The difficulty level is “World War”. A special marker will appear above the enemy vehicle that has been found by your crew. The usual aircraft marker and “lead” marker for self-propelled anti aircraft guns will be displayed. The external bombing marker (as in AB mode) is available for aircraft.
Both events have a 30% SL and RP bonus.
The event series in the RB game mode offers participants battles with historical setups. In some of these battles, participants have an opportunity to gain additional bonuses. Events can offer battle formats that are different from random battle modes in War Thunder.

Dammit - I was waiting for the OTHER important event
So, I just looked at the list. What is this? Free Soviet grind? It's MiG-15bis vs F-84Bs, F-80A/Cs, F3Ds, Sea Furys, Fireflys, also IL-10s and Tu-2s. Why not give us Sabres? It's historically accurate.
Very early Korean War? They'd have the F-82 if that was the case, though.
Is it the early Korean War? The Americans didn't get their Sabres right away.
F-84B´s weren´t deployed in Korea but F-84G´s were and they aren´t available.
Welp, the air battles are cool at least. I just wish after 4 years of playing I'd have reached Korean War jets by now. I absolutely love these weekend historical events, but having the one ground forces event mode be a glorified version of Arcade Battles is crap. Why even bother with anything historical at that point.
Shows Sabre in picture, US: Has only F80s allowed. .>.
F-86A-5 has been added to the lineups :)
Lineup looks good for the first few months of the war... Except the F3D wasn't in use before the Sabers arrived.
Centurion Mk 3s, Cromwells, Pershings, Shermans, Pattons, T-34 85s and such? oooo
no centurion mk3s for gaijin reasons
GG Gaijin. There are many players wants to play with T-34/85 and IS-2 versus M-46 and Centurions at ground RB and MiG-15/bis vs F-80/Meteor at Air RB. Make at least Air RB historic and add F-86 to the Allies.
Give us atleast, the F86A-5 please
The allies solely get props and the Meteor against Mig-15s. If this was historically accurate, there would be no Mig-15s, as I imagine battles at the 38th means this is the start of the Korean War, meaning only the allied would have jets like F-80 and F-84, not the other way around.
Edit: Nevermind, didn't scroll down the vehicle list properly, but if air isn't early war, at least give us the F-86
siv5122, It does have the F-86A-5, what are all of you people smoking, how have all of you missed it on the list.
