The Korean War was the first large-scale military conflict of the “Cold War” period which actively lasted 3 years. We invite you to participate as one of the opposing forces in the conflict and to take an opportunity to compare the vehicles of the strongest opponents.
From 15:00 GMT on the 19th of July until 07:00 GMT on the 22nd of July
Join the battle for the Korean Peninsula in the sky and on the ground with historical vehicle setups (RB).
Available events:
[Operation] Korea — аircraft battles
- US, British and Soviet aviation including jet aircraft will participate in the event.
[Domination] 38th Parallel — combined battles
- US, British and Soviet ground vehicles will participate.
- There are 3 respawns available. To fly out in aircraft and some ground vehicles you need to earn Respawn Scores. The number of respawns on some ground vehicles is limited for the team.
- The difficulty level is “World War”. A special marker will appear above the enemy vehicle that has been found by your crew. The usual aircraft marker and “lead” marker for self-propelled anti aircraft guns will be displayed. The external bombing marker (as in AB mode) is available for aircraft.
Both events have a 30% SL and RP bonus.
The event series in the RB game mode offers participants battles with historical setups. In some of these battles, participants have an opportunity to gain additional bonuses. Events can offer battle formats that are different from random battle modes in War Thunder.

The F-86A-5 has been added to the lineup for the event. We wanted to first review overall balance before introducing this aircraft as its a very potent machine that could have unbalanced the event and skewed teams. Enjoy pilots!
Yeah, I have played at least 40 games with almost all F-86 A's and not a single time have they won against the MiG's
i mean the mig 15 bis is on the list, thats all they need to completely own the field...historically the sabre was pretty much all that could counter it so adding the sabre is probrobly all that would keep russia from owning the skies..but the event is missing quite a few tanks to make it historical too..
For a moment you had me fooled thinking this was the event that we all so much look forward to
Right, for a blink of a moment I thought that, too. Then I saw that - once again! - SB is neglected...:-(
Many do look forward to historical events. Whilst it may not be directly to your taste from a historical perspective, its worth checking out for the changes and features within!
Heads event with image of F-86. Event doesn't allow F-86. Thank you, gaijin.
Yep, and its a simple massacre against the migs
really bad event
Looks great! How long till we hear about the SUMMER event?
You mean "How long until we hear about the hellish grind for the S.U.M.M.E.R. vehicles?"
Lord__Winter, no one is holding a gun to your head, if you want free stuff then you need to put in the time.
Whoever does those wallpaper does an extremely well job, also can't wait to try out this event!
Indeed our artists always seem to outdo themselves!
If only it was Enduring Confrontation(with only BR restrictions and no definite plane list).
No thanks, what's the point of a historical type event where people can fly anything? Admittedly the lineups are usually missing planes, but still, rather that than people just spamming whatever's OP in the BR range.
why do you add the worst sabre and the soviets get the mig-15bis? this event is a joke, its like they want the allies to get destroyed
Because the most common matchup is F-86A-5 vs MiG-15 or MiG-15bis? The F-25 Sabre fought only in the last months of the war and compared to the A-5 it was barely used
Better not make the summer event only in a mode with markers. I just want my random battles please.
> No Po-2 > historically inaccurate > literally unplayable
I'd play any event for a Korean war Po-2 camo :) https://www.quora.com/Did-a-Po-2-really-shoot-down-an-F-94-during-the-Korean-War-If-so-how-is-this-possible
r0rb, .... https://live.warthunder.com/post/71300/en/ :)))
>adding the A5 sabre when its just pure bad, and can't even compete with a mig15bis lmao gaijin what were you thinking first not even adding a sabre, but then adding the worst one to fight the MIG15bis lmao, come on dudes, at least add the F25 or even F2 so the sabres can have chance bud, because the A5 is out classed in every way, and don't tell me the F models were not in korea, because they were lmao
