World War has begun, soldiers! Mobilization!
Attention! Outdated news format. Content may not display correctly.
We knew from the very beginning that World War mode would become an inherent part of the game that would allow all aircraft, ground vehicles and fleet so accurately recreated in the game, to truly shine in historical battles.
Today we are proud to announce the new start of World War mode!
World War is beginning with “Recon under Fire” - it’s the name of the first season which contains “The Battle of the Vitebsk”, “The Battle of El Alamein”, “Northwind” operations and “The Battle for Caen“. Fight for valuable awards until the 10th of June as a member of a squadron or be a lone fighter. World War is open for everyone!
War Thunder is a game about war.
A world war.
The War Thunder Team

dont delete my comment, we dont want markers in ww mode, there is nothing bad for saying the truth
Who is "we"? I want markers in WW mode, so don't lie about "us" not wanting markers.
Thorne1, dude, go play arcade then... or at least I hope they split the mode in AB and RB just as random battles
What is this pile of sh*t? I will go play arcade if i wanted arcade gaijin what the f is wrong with you? I expected something interesting that will rely on skills and spotting the enemy not fucking world of tanks bullshit. -10000/10 I am saddened and angry that my cash went towards developing *THIS*... Just what the hell?!? I can't believe it...
What are you talking about?? It's not arcade. Closed Beta Tester here. Wait and try WWM out when it's out.
this is going to be a mess
How about we remove the markers from the mode for tanks please
good god people are so harsh to the gaijin devs. yes they do/have done things we didn't like but every time something is added to the game now its just hate in the comments. its sad really. good job to the gaijin team for trying to implement something new i hope it gets refined into a solid gamemode and i hope to see even more new gamemodes in the near future.
"good god people are so harsh to the gaijin devs." these are the devs responsible for not making the Leclerc
I just want gaijin to take step back and fix the game, and not dish out more centent until they get the game to work properly, aka shell balistics, correct ammo spalling, actually modeling the shells so they dont have a 1 pixel impact so as to make armour types viable, giving vehivles and craft things they should have gotten aka late tier british that have no ERA or composite side armour for the centurion 3 onwards because that is what they had and that would even make them OP, just playable...
RB but with markers? No thx. If i want o play a game mode where Gaijin holds my hand. And where i don't need to use my skill and knowledge on how to spot tanks. Then i'l go and play AB! Get rid of the markers. Or at least make 2 modes of WWM. One soft mode with markers. And one hardcore without markers!
yasssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss finally a new thing
oh Finally! after all those years
This not a Leclerc
Nah. I'll pass.
