November 11th is a very special day in the hearts of the Polish People. Exactly 100 years ago Poland regained its independence. After 123 years this brave country has returned on to world maps. To celebrate this significant anniversary, we have prepared something special for all of you!
15:00 GMT on the 9th of November — 7:00 GMT on the 12th of November you will be able to:
- Obtain the famous "Winged Hussars" camouflage by winning 1 battle whilst flying the Mi-24V
- The very last vehicle you control in the winning battle needs to be the Mi-24V
- Purchase the Premium Lanovsky's P-47M-1-RE Thunderbolt for the American Tech Tree
- You only have 4 days to purchase it, so be quick!
Lanovsky's P-47M-1-RE Thunderbolt
Witold Łanowski, nicknamed "Lanny" first enrolled in the military in memory of his colleagues as a self-confident and impartial individual and demonstrated himself as a great instructor and pilot. He was born on June 8th, 1915 in Lwów, and in 1935 he joined the Cadet School in Dęblin. After four years he became an instructor. During World War II, thanks to Gładych's support, he was transferred to the American 61st Fighter Squadron, where on May 15th, 1944, he finally took control of a Thunderbolt. The P-47M-1-RE version which he piloted had a new, more powerful engine, which made it faster than almost any German fighter with a piston engine. The aircraft was armed with eight 12.7 mm machine guns and also could carry bombs and rockets which made it an effective ground attacker.
Sherman Firefly Ic Scorpion
We also wish to remind you, that for some time we have had the powerful Premium Sherman Firefly Ic from 1st Squadron, 4th Armoured Regiment “Scorpion”, 2nd Armoured Brigade, 2nd “Warsaw” Armoured Division available in game! So if you are a fan of a Polish themed armour, check out the British tank tree. the Mighty Sherman Firefly "Trzyniec" with its 17-pounder gun and the addition of two beautiful Polish decals is waiting for purchase!

I mean, this stuff is really cool and all- disappointed I don't have the Mi-24V, because the Winged Hussars camo is cool- but why does Landovsky's P-47 need to be solely a new premium? Why can't people who already have the P-47M just earn the camo, or even buy it for 200GE? I already have that P-47, and Landovsky's skin for it looks really cool, but what you're essentially telling people who already own this P-47 is, "Pay 6090 GE to get a camouflage and a new name on the stat card." Kinda cheap.
Agreed. I just bought P-47M on sale and I really do not feel like spending 6000 GE for a skin for it... where is the logic? These skins from Gaijin usually cost 200 GE, this is just big and important anniversary getting used for a silly moneygrab.
I agree. I have a P-47M. Why can't they just add some new vehicles? Why!!!!
6k GE for a special skin, and copy/paste of existing P-47M, feels kinda lame. The Hind camo is nice, but you have to actually own the Hind.
its a separate plane. you could play both in same preset. cant do that w camo.
Screng, Why do I need that? I have 4 more P-47s beside M version in the tree. So do I need yet another one for 30 Euro? I guess not unless I am extremely serious collector or somebody who does not know what to do with my money.
Poland can into War Thunder?!
Very much so :)
There are Camos, but there are vehicles out there like the 7TP and 9TP light tanks, and possibly for air too. I have thought of a tree for the Ground forces so far, but idk about the air yet
Why wasnt there anything special last year for Finlands 100th year of being independent and not under any other nation unlike poland being soviet satellite state.
On 28th October, there was same 100th anniversary for Czechia and Slovakia. Also nothing.
In October 23 was the anniversary of the hungarian revolution contra USSR and nothing
In other words - your way to honor this anniversary is to say: Buy helicopters, buy another copy paste premium and if you really want to spend even more money - wait for it - buy another premium! :D And just to remind you, Czechia (and Slovakia) had same anniversary on 28th October. Maybe mark it in your calendar at least for a year 2118.
a special camo for the mi-24D XD
No one is forcing anyone to buy anything.... serious collectors are always after rare additions
Would have been great to get a Discount for the P47M for owners of the other P47M, or simply a Camo for it ingame, that would wouldnt look like money-grabbing that much, and make customers happy. I dont want to complain too much here, just think that might be a good idea to support those who already supported the game. I would love to get that Skin, it looks great! but 6k GE? A bit too much for a reskin, even for ag ood one.
So you can get a Polish camouflage for the Mi-24 just by playing and winning in the Mi-24V but regular air players need to buy a whole new plane to get a new camouflage for a plane that differs from the existing P-47M-1-RE in no other way than the camouflage?
Nobody has the Mi-24v cause you need to play like 200 matches in the heli only mode, even with full premium
Pizzacorgie28, Still though. The existing P-47M players already gave Gaijin $30. Now they have "created" a new P-47M for another $30 with the only difference being the skin. I mean I'm sure it is too late now to just give the Lanowsky skin to Bostwick P-47M players but still. I makes me feel like Gaijin is deaf to what really annoys us players.
30€ for a copy-paste plane in celebration of a national holiday? Wouldn't you find it more appropriate to celebrate with a WT fans of a certain nation to offer something simply to unlock instead of making an independence day a overpriced cashgrab?
To be clear - it is 30 Euro for a skin if you own Bostwick already :D. ENJOY!
Kaizy, SMH. missed opportunity, senseless cashgrab
Seriously, only the MI-24V, which need 1 140 000 rp ? Coudn't it just be any mi-24, or could we rent the MI-24V only for the event? Because for now, every one that doesn't have the mi-24V can't get the camo by the event (maybe by the market, but belgians can't get access to it).
Yep, welcome to gaijin
But you can spend a lot of money, get the Mi-24V and then get the skin :).
Well, I don't have the Mi-24V and I already have a premium P-47, so it looks like I won't be celebrating Poland's independence.
