FLEET CBT VERY CLOSE!
We are pleased to inform you that very soon after the release of major update 1.79, the next testing of the Naval Forces will begin officially in closed beta test.
In the new testing stage we will start integration of naval play into the general mechanics of the War Thunder. You will be able to access not only the battles, but also research of naval vessels, their modifications and crew training. We plan to launch fleet game sessions on an ongoing basis in events.
How do you join?
Become the owner of one of the naval packs which give you access to the tester team.
Any fleet eventually needs modernization and ours was no exception to this rule: for the beginning of the long-awaited CBT we present to you, a new class of ship in the Gaijin.Net Store: Destroyers. Destroyers are one of the heaviest and most powerful classes of ships from those represented in our game at the moment. The first nations included in the Naval CBT will be the USA and Germany and we are opening a pre-order of premium destroyers for these two nations!
- Destroyer Z-20 Karl Galster (Germany);
- Premium account for 15 days;
- 2000 Golden Eagles;
- Naval battles closed beta access;
- Pre-order bonus - "Swordfish" decal;
- Pre-order bonus - "Sea Sword" title.
- Fletcher-class destroyer USS Cowell DD-547 (USA);
- Premium account for 15 days;
- 2000 Golden Eagles;
- Naval battles closed beta access;
- Pre-order bonus - "Hammerhead Fish" decal;
- Pre-order bonus - "Hammerhead" title.
Commanders! We are grateful to you that you have supported the development of the fleet in War Thunder by purchasing of packs with boats from different nations. For each boat-pack owner during the pre-order period there will be a 50% discount in the Gaijin.Net store on destroyer packs. Also for pre-ordering you will receive exclusive titles and decals (regardless of whether you had the previous boat-packs or not).
Special bonuses will be ended by the CBT start, but existing smaller boat-packs owners will still have an indefinite 25% discount on the purchase of these destroyers!
Please note: with the fleet CBT start all original boat-packs will be withdrawn from sale in the Gaijin.Net store and PlayStation Store. Until then you can still get a discount for destroyers by purchasing the original boat-packs. For owners of the boat packs on PlayStation 4, instead of discounts for destroyers there will be a special compensation, details will be announced separately.
- S-204 "Lang" Torpedo boat (Germany);
- 1000 Golden Eagles;
- Naval battles closed beta access.
- PT-109 torpedo boat (USA);
- 3000 Golden Eagles;
- Naval battles closed beta access.
- Project 1124 MRLS armored river boat (USSR);
- 1000 Golden Eagles;
- Naval battles closed beta access.

so i bought all three boats before the test, so i will get the destroyer with 50% off?
Yes
gromvoiny, ...I bought one of the boats and got 50% off.
I ordered the Lang and am not seeing the discount for the destroyers in the Store. Both through steam and logged into the website.
Contact support with screenshots please, I see Lang on your account and you should be getting the discount.
gromvoiny, Thanks!
what time to completely fix the zoom, it is not reset when u change carrier, I don't care about the new toys now.
Likely that is fixed as they have known about it. Not going into the CBT on this level without addressing it. However, we shall see.
Conte_Baracca, I submitted the BUG report, but it was not approved, the BUG annoyed me very much.
" with the fleet CBT start all original boat-packs will be withdrawn from sale" Will those vehicles still be buyable in-game?
No
gromvoiny, What about the two pre-order destroyers? Will the be researchable/buyable or do they become "hidden vehicles" like the boats?
Does the fact that CBT starts mean that any bigger ships are definitely off the table at this point? Or is there still hope for heavy cruisers and so on in the future?
Nothings ever off the table, Just don't expect them any time soon
Would you tell me what is deference between Fletcher class in tree and DD-547 Cowell?
It has slightly more anti-air guns. And premium bonuses of course.
I already have the s204 pack in my account but I still can't get my dd discount.
Hey Gaijin Bought the PT- kennedy boat pack ages ago on annoucnement ofr Ships ...why do I have to prove this too you when it should be on my account .Also do I now have to rebuy it again at 50 percent off too gain access too something I already bought.
You don't need to do anything. All boat packs provide access to CBT. But you can get destroyers with 50% discount if you want.
gromvoiny, Yes just checked my account and tis in there .just not auto adjusting the new price not too worry .honestly i,ll probably not buy new premium ships till its closer to release and I see how they play out .In the mean time I got CENTURION avre WITH MY NAME ON IT SOON LOL.
Looks really really good Gaijin, Happy to hear that you guys are coming closer to the release of naval battles. however its kinda unfortunate to see more premiums. again. now its becoming harder and harder to decide what premium to take.
Can we get an option to change the PT boat we bought to the DD? As we were told the pt was going to be the only boat at the time. having DD's as a premium now makes me feel short changed and lied too.
Also i see that the DD pack is much better than the pt pack at the same price? this really feels like you robbed the people who have tested for you from the start
Who told you that? From the very announcement of Navy we said that ships up to destroyers in size will be possible. And now, even Light Cruisers are also part of Naval battles.
