Update 1.71 “New Era” is here! The content update opens a new Rank VI for modern ground vehicles, adds almost three dozen of new tanks and aircraft, introduces new locations, and several gameplay features including the ability to control gunner positions on aircraft in first person. Some of the first players who entered the game immediately after the update may have lost their accumulated Warbonds. In the next few days, we will automatically restore your Warbonds and add an additional compensation of 250 Warbonds for those who faced this problem.
''The Fulda Gap, our new location for combined battles, is perfectly suited for rank VI vehicles.'' This gives me hope for that you one fantastic day will finally realize that Maps has to be for set Tier. That way we play maps meant for and time according to the tanks we play (Somewhat, still B.R fcks this here and there). Like play my Panzer III L and get Stalingrad, or El Alamein Map. Historical correct and Maps can then be designed for the type Tier of Vehicles, which is much wanted.
Random games do not operate on a 'historically correct' manner. The Events are for this. The game actually allows for 'what if' events in history. For vehicles that never saw combat, to do so. The inclusion of 'paper' or proto-type vehicles in the game is part of this approach. Also, your approach would restrict the number of locations in which the game is played for particular Ranks ("Tiers" haven't been used for some time). Thus you would play the same couple of maps time and time again. Most would think this rather boring from previous feedback from the community. This issue has been discussed with/by Anton and Kirill Yudintsev at various venues, devblogs, conventions etc. Please search for these discussions and videos as they outline the games philosophy in this regard. Please do not use this forum to discuss possible game inclusions. We have a proper Suggestions area for these issues. https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/forum/572-moderated-suggestions/ Cheers
Can someone help? I really do not care for this new UI and i would like to revert back to the old one. Can anyone help?
Gaijin giveth, and Gaijin taketh away
No way to change it back, but you can scale the text size :D
The new UI menu thing looks really, really bad, and it is either to big, or to small. ( The medium size is too small ). Its also very, very laggy. Can you guys atleast make an option to switch back to the old one?
When switching to either the roster or map screens, the background becomes heavily blurred. Before 1.71, these screen backgrounds were clear. The previous clarity helped maintain situation awareness. The new blurriness ruins awareness. Why introduce this negative change? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlfLV3m4SfI&feature=youtu.be
gaijan help, i opened the game and all the letters are fuzzy blocks, and i can't fix?
WOOOOW. the amount of "balancing " done for the tiger II is so horrible i havent gotten a single kill before getting blown up by a literal team of 5 is-6s mean while my what use to be pretty good hesh rounds are now obsolete also the new maps...they arent made for the tiger 2 at all with its many rock and many hills impossible to see farther than 500m ahead sux to b a german player
There is a light at the end of this dark abyssal trench of a tunnel. Apparently the Kpz/70 is absolutely annihilating the T64 on a regular basis. Puts a big smile on my face hearing it. Just hang in there.
Update with lots of vehicles, features, maps and *finally* the long awaited modern vehicles arrives War Thunder. *Most comments are about "i lost wardbonds" and "i don't like new UI". God I do really hate this community sometimes...
So now I say: thank you for this update, have been looking forward to this for years, excellent work, and... I like the new UI ;)
Not worth the 10 minute wait on download to be honest. Hud is disgusting, Still Allies vs allies with your own tech being used against you incorrectly. No doubt the modern map lets you play WW2 vehicles on it and unrealistic armour and penetration values added to the new tanks. Not worth the hassle playing anymore.
Alarm clock : NEW UPDATE OUT! Me: *wakes up* Moar Bf 110? Alarm clock : Nope. Me: *Procced to hibernate again* *Sleepwalking me: *Go play Bf 110 C-4 and italian fighters until next update* It`s a nice update. But personnaly im not very hyped. Pretty barebone for germany. Except the new gunner view and mabye the waffentreager (If i don't get my allergy of Br over 4.3). I hope lot`s of joy for everybody. And i`l keep waiting for my god.. the Bf 110 god! \o/ 110 is love, 110 is life. (GG Gaijin)
