On the 8th of May 1945, Allied forces who had fought during the Second World War celebrated “VE Day” or “Victory in Europe Day”. Major cities in most Allied nations, as well as those cities in Western Europe which had formerly been occupied, rejoiced in the defeat of the Nazi war machine with the raising of flags and banners.
German forces lay down their arms and held their fire: In Prague, Germans surrendered to their Soviet counterparts, after the latter had lost more than 8,000 soldiers, and the Germans many more; in Copenhagen and Oslo; at Karlshorst, near Berlin; in northern Latvia; on the Channel Island of Sark — their surrender was complete with a final cease-fire, followed by more surrender documents that were signed in Berlin and East Germany.
Important! We have prepared special events, discounts in the game, special bundles in the Gaijin.Store, tournaments and a real "Weapon of Victory"! Read more:
Warriors, you have completed a glorious campaign through dozens of the some of the most important battles from World War 2 and by completing the last task you will receive your final award - a unique decoration, a PPSh-42 submachine gun and one of the “nose art” decals.

well, thx a lot for everything, i got the 4 vehicules, after much cursing during event, i mean, going for suporting fire without squad m8, it's not the best thing gaijin! got the katusha in my 3rd battle, that was a surprise cause i thought i wouldn't be able to get 5 kills with the BM, wasn't to worried about not getting it though ( it is actually really fun!)...but the one i really wanted, I-301, u made sure i wouldn't get it...nice event gaijin, top 200..never again, such a bitter feeling.
yeah the start is awesome 4 +1 bonus stuff... but the ending(Tournament) YUCK :()i never touching that "event".
200 is not that tricky. The problem for most players is that they used all their games first 3 days. You shouls always wait till later on.
Russian bias
Thanks for the freebies guys, always enjoy these events, such great feeling when it's all completed :)
Yeh, unless you receive the I-301 in a trophy but it doesn't show up in the tech tree. (restarted the game 3 times) -.-
We are glad you enjoyed the event. We are trying to satisfy lot of different kinds of players, but its not always possible.
um gijan I got 5 kills on the event with the bm and I did not receive the katusha can you guys fix that? #iwantmyfavoritetruckpls
I agree, same here.
Blazer212, I didn't receive my I-301 although I got in in a trophy
Nice event, but why all the focus on Germany and Russia? Why not Britain, US, Canada, etc?
It was basically a German-Russian war with other parties and proxies, relatively speaking.
We had to sit through two straight days of usa/Britain vs. Germany which made it hard to get in on allied side. And all allies get discounts, I don't get what you're complaining about. It is fact the soviets captured berlin which ended the war.
its my birthday too :)
happy birthday to you
Thanks Gaijin !!!! I had a lot of fun, and I won 5 more vehicles.
Thank you Gaijin! War Thunder is a wonderful game.
WW2 Chronicals and the Recent "Events" have been impossible for normal casual Job/Life haveing people if your going to spend the time designing those vehicals maybe make it possible to actually obtain them. not everybody is a Fighter Jocks.
If only the WW2 chronicles were easier to do.
