How to receive ”Chronicle awards”
(Access the battles in the event's tab!)
In order to receive prizes, you must complete the event stages in order to achieve “Chronicle awards” which you can complete in the “WW II Chronicles”. You can complete three of the five tasks of your choice:

Conditions:
- You must complete tasks in special battles: Events and tournaments → WW II Chronicles.
- To receive “Chronicle awards” (ground vehicles and aircraft) you need to complete 3 out of 5 tasks for appropriate kind of vehicles. To receive a premium ground vehicle you need to complete the tanker stages, for pilots, to receive an aircraft you need to complete an air battle stage.
- Each stage is active for 2 days and will reset at 11:00 GMT on the third day when a new task will be started.
- “Chronicle awards” which will be marked in gold will be counted as completed.
- You will be able to purchase any missed stage using the in-game store.
- You can follow your progress in “Achievements → WW II Chronicles”

If you buy every $999 GE Chest do you need to complete any task? However when buying the chest often you don't get the award and then are locked out from re-buying. What do you do then? Sorry if this is a stupid question - I just don't have the time to grind this out. Trying to figure out how much $$$ the bundle will cost, if in fact you can just buy ieverything.
No, fi you buy chests, you do not need to do tasks.
A few thoughts from a new (6 months} but dedicated {level 56} player. This was not fun at all. Team play absolutely ruins it - just make it team against team. If there is any thoughts that Events will draw newer players further into the game it is delusional. We don't have the crews to stand up to guys who are level 300 or 400. Especially if we are productive and contributing members of society. There is no level system so we have to play expert crews against ace crews. A wasted weekend for me.
Also the rules of the Event do not make sense to a newer player and need to be better explained with less jargon and more specifics. Maybe it is a translation thing. By Sunday I was ready to quit Warthunder entirely. I am sure that is why you get such a small fraction of your members participating. No one likes being suckered into a butt kicking.
There's even a chance that you just don't get an award at all, even when you play games one after another for the entire duration of the award. It's so ridiculous, at least make these vehicles available for people who don't feel like skipping life for an entire month.
Please re-read text. There is no chance that you will not get reward if you will fulfill required amount of tasks.

No.
These chorincles have all the same mechanism: Either you choose the stronger side (at tank RB Poland russians, at air RB Midway Japan) and sit in queue for 5 mins just to get in one battle and massacre the whole enemy in 5 minutes with a low chance of getting any further with completing the tasks, or choose the weaker team (tank RB Poland-Germans, Midway-USA) and get sealclubbed by experienced players because they simply use a better plane or tank, not getting any chance to complete the tasks...
Something's wrong with at least the StG44 decoration at least. Every single time I try to use it, it does not show the rifle at all on my cursor and than the game crashes. Tested it four times in a row and all of them resulted in crashes. The Shark Jaws decal works perfectly though.
