Dear players!
The event, which we started for the 1st of April has come to an end, but our work on War Thunder continues.
We thank you for your feedback, it was very nice to read them!
This testing was successful in the first place because many of the mechanics in War Thunder have already been implemented before: X-Ray view, ATGMs, different types of shells, their distribution in the vehicle etc. War Thunder was ready for modern vehicles. New mechanics, which were implemented specially for the event will be tested for main game modes in War Thunder.
Implementation of such a mission was only possible with support, which you give us every day. Thanks to all the hundreds and thousands of people that helped us to test IXth rank. It was an absolute record among all of our 1st of April events by the number of players alone.
See you on the battlefield!
The War Thunder Team

Love the event. And hope we get to play more with modern tanks/armored vehicle/aircraft/helicopters. Keep up the good work.
Does this mean I can also have my Mig-21 and F-4 Phantom
I can't wait for the T-72 and the MiG-21bis ;P
I just want to say thank you Gaijin for putting so much time and effort into this event. Ussually developers just do some litte prank and that is it, but you never stop to surprise me. When I saw T-90 Devblog and so on I was like "Yeah right as if- OMG they actually did it!" It is a great way for you to test stuff and the community to have fun trolling around. This was (as always) a great April Fools and I am looking forward to the next one! :)
pffff, from t90 back to t62 this tank so suck
modern helicopters are just a great idea. maybe we could get some early vtols as well.
Just another despairing demonstration about what the future reserves for the old player base, those who never wanted anything modern in the game. Tier 5 is already an exercise in frustration with ATGMs flying everywhere and across the map one hit kills. For many, the Tier IX event was the worst, ever. I couldnt cope with it for more than a couple of matches.
so.. are they really coming in near future?
Gaijin, thank you for the amazing event ... I really want to play this again :)
I wish you'd listen more to the support and feeback we present you each day in the forums as well as starting to work perfecting the existing mechanics (or correcting the most essential issues they still have) instead of working on implementing even more mechanics that aren't really required to get the game forward. It's the quality of the essentials which are lacking in this game, not the quantity of features.
