Dear players!
At 17:30 GMT February 27th we will be launching a testing of the new event, where you can choose for yourself which battle you would like to join. Moreover after the battle ends you may still stay in the chosen room to join the next battle with the same team lineup. The mechanics are the same as in Custom Battles.
Mode features:
- Besides an option to join a random battle players also has an opportunity to choose a specific room for themselves.
- The available room list shows only those battles that have vacant places to join.
- A player is able to enter a room only if they have the required vehicles in their hangar slots. They also have an option to choose a specific battling party in case there is no significant advantage in the number of players by the opposite party.
- After the end of a battle, the room remains open and the next battle will start after a period of time automatically with the same participants.
- The next battle won’t start if the number of players on either sides does not meet the balance requirements - In such a case, a countdown will begin and if the teams do not meet the balance requirements before it ends, the room will be disbanded.
- The room description shows the time passed after its creation. A player may join a room any time as soon as they meet the requirements.
- Battles created in such rooms provide the same rewards and achievements as in any other events.
Features of this test:
- Pacific War battles (British aircraft vs Japanese aircraft and American aircraft vs Japanese aircraft)
- Several different events available
- Respawn mechanics are the same as in the Air AB
- The following vehicles are available: 1st - Aircraft of BR 3.7 - 4.7, 2nd - Aircraft of BR 5.0 - 6.3.
- Battles will be held in Simulation mode
- Choose "automatic repair" option in the hangar so that aircraft are available for fly-out in the the next session
- Carrier spawns have been temporarily changed to air spawns
The test may be stopped at any time!

What about realistic battles?
Just wish we could have this for Germany too, I don't usually fly the other nations. Well, I guess it is time to unlock the torpedo on my Beaufighter.
This is just a test for more events coming up like this. I'm sure Germany will be in there too.
This is great however I would suggest for simulator mode a no respawn policy i.e once you die you're out. Otherwise sim can lose some of its charm. Otherwise this is an incredible mode for people who want a quick game of air sim in the random battles format.
Tbh I like that you are able to respawn. Respawning for me means that you play a "different pilot" so in the end the amount of aircraft that are flown will be more like in the real war. However like it's now it's just too arcady. I think there has to be a solution to this like limited respawns or only 1 spawn of a specific aircraft type or something like that..
Oops, I am a realistic user, not simul. xP
I was damaged but managed to land on friendly airfield, after repair i missclicked and clicked return to hangar instead of leave vehicle to pick different one. When i returned to battle my repaired vehicle has red background and when im trying to play it im getting message "crew is not ready"
other vehicles are working fine
I'm loving it atm good job 'v')b I like the respawning especially since I mostly play in ab
So it works if anyone wants to try transitioning into sb once in a while
So it looks like either going to teh concert I planned for today, or trying out this new mode (which "may be stopped at any time"). Well, outside of zombie apocalypse or total blackout, I do not see the concert coming to an abrupt end. See ya some other time. But its nice to see anything moving in the sim area, its been a pretty stale waters lately.
Don't worry about the zombie apocalypse, we invested in soulless automatons to maintain our game server. There is absolutely nothing to worry. If you see a bright flash in the sky, please stay away from the windows for a few minutes before resuming regular gaming in random battles.
I got nothing after one game but I have to pay thousands of SL to repair the plane, that was really expensive. Is that supposed to be like that? Either way I am not going play it anymore.
Sorry, my bad. I did earn a lot after the entire game is over. I thought it would show my profit right after I quit the game.
PermianPower, Haha yes. I earned 100k in 1 match. Finally SL out of SB
Will this be in RB mode? I was pretty damn disappointed when I saw Simulation mode... So... Will there be RB mode too?
looks nice, btw what happend to the tank event that was held as test on eastern europe where you couldnt choose your tank? with the pnz 4's and tiger2's. because i really liked that even and really hope to see it return more often
