On March 28th 1923, the Italian Air Force was founded as a separate unit called Regia Aeronautica. After World War II and the abolition of the monarchy, it was renamed Aeronautica Militare. When the Italian Air Force decided to modernize in the late 20th century, it purchased the Eurofighter Typhoon — these aircraft now make up a significant part of the Aeronautica Militare’s fleet.

The German La-5FN Temporarily Returns to Mark the La-5’s First Flight!
On March 21st 1942, the La-5 — a Soviet plane capable of fighting the Germans on equal terms — took to the skies for the first time. It quickly became one of the main aircraft that defended Soviet skies. In September 1944, Germany captured a fully functional La-5FN and studied it at Rechlin airfield.
Meet the “Hornet’s Sting” Major Update!
Hornet’s Sting introduces the F/A-18 for the USA and Sweden in several variants, along with the Su-30SM for the USSR that features thrust vectoring, enhancing its maneuverability! For ground forces, the Tracked Rapier, CLOVIS and 2S19M1 / M2 take the spotlight thanks to their excellent capabilities. Rhine, Sinai and Jungle have received graphical overhauls, refreshing their visuals, all while maintaining their familiar layouts. Next up for naval forces is HMS Warspite, one of the most decorated warships in naval history! To top it off, the game has had some interface improvements, item recycling and new player profile showcases.

The M728 CEV for the Anniversary of the US Army Corps of Engineers!
The Corps of Engineers first appeared in the Continental Army in 1775 during the American Revolution. In its modern form, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers was officially established on March 16th, 1802, when President Thomas Jefferson signed the Military Peace Establishment Act into law. Engineers built bridges and fortifications during the Civil War and World War II, supported the Allied landings in Normandy, and also worked on large-scale civilian projects such as the Hoover Dam and Panama Canal.

On March 15th, 1848, an uprising broke out in Pest against the Austrian Empire, which at the time ruled the Kingdom of Hungary. The uprising was bloodless and achieved concessions from the Emperor, who agreed to all of the Hungarian demands, granting them freedom of the press, civil rights and greater autonomy. The anniversary of this event is celebrated to this day as one of Hungary’s main national holidays.
