Schweinfurt was the location of most of the ball-bearing production in Germany at the onset of World War II, it was eventually devastated following a series of Allied strategic bombing raids. It was hoped that the destruction of the factories located in the city would cripple the production of new tanks and aircraft.

On the 5th of March, 1943, the Battle of Ruhr was begun; a campaign of strategic bombing that took place during the Second World War. This campaign was planned as an assault on the German industrial area of Ruhr, and both British and American forces took part.

Sounds Cool! Any changes to get SB event(s) also for the weekend?
Can someone answer why Events and Enduring Conflict don't count for player stats anymore? I have been searching everywhere on the forums and cannot pinpoint when this change was made, and why. In my humble opinion it takes a lot of the vibe and excitement when you know it doesn't matter if you die/survive (assuming you care about stats).

chastise:both British and American forces took part, see only brits but i guess it works with one for usa and one for brits.
Actually Operation Chastise was wholly British and was the attacks on the German Dams by the RAF's 617 squadron. Unfortunately Giajin have used the term the Battle of the Ruhr in the description above. The Battle of the Ruhr was a completely different event to Chastise (which however can be classed as a part of it) and involved both USAAF and RAF bombing of the industrial towns and cities in the Ruhr area of Germany. https://www.raf.mod.uk/history/bombercommanddambusters21march1943.cfm
Ok i played 2 rounds with my lancaster asuming this was an event with bomber pilots in mind. How wrong is was. there is only ONE boming target that is easly taken out by one bomber. So you spend a lot of time to form up and evade enemy fighters which completely have the upper hand to see that another one who dove down to the target destroyed it single handedly and leaves nothing to bomb for the remaining formation... so much fun.
Personally I would like to play as that little landing boat and surf bomb blasts. He looks like he's having loads of fun down there!
That is not a boat, that is an anti-ship Barnes Wallis's type bouncing bomb , which doesn't exist in game.
I wanna say that its time for me to riggity-rek people in my G-10, but it turns like a brick since 1.63 rolled out, so idk... no real incentive to fly brits or murrica either, as I have no prems there :/
