Hey everyone! Today we thought we’d put together a small blog about some of the new decals we’ve been working on! Over the last few updates and into the near future as well we’ll be adding new decals for nations and branches that currently don’t have any. This also includes the modern era of some nations that predominantly only have WW2 era decals available. First though, let’s start with some new national insignia coming to the game in the next update!
Oh crikey it’s the Albanian roundels!
(1992-)
(1960–1992)
And many more of course! All of these new roundels we’ll be adding were all requested on the forum, so thanks for that. Here’s a handful of some of the new additions.
(1954 -)
(1950 -)
(Low-Vis)
Next we have some variants of existing roundels, previously we only had the earlier versions available, so we’re pleased to introduce the more well-known contemporary variants of the Irish and Indian roundels, as well as the low-vis variant of the Czech Air Force Roundel
We also have some brand new roundels, and quite a few more too that you’ll see in the next update. Even though Luxembourg don’t have any aircraft in game, we’re happy to include their unique emblem for you to customize your vehicles with. It’s about time the Serbian Roundel was added too, and Vietnam’s vehicle recognition roundel.
JGSDF Markings
Even though we often add more modern ground markings for Japan through monthly decal events, they don’t have any that are permanently available. In the next major update we’ll be adding a handful that you’ll be able to unlock, have a look!
Thai Ground Vehicle Markings
We’ll also be adding a series of decals for the ground vehicles of Thailand! While these emblems depict fairly typical subjects, they’re very intricately detailed and thoughtfully designed, we hope you like using them to customize your vehicles!
We’re also planning on adding a set of unlockable decals for Greek ground vehicles as well, those are still a work in progress at the moment, but they should be finished in time for the update!
That’s all for today! Thanks for catching up on the work of the decal team, we’re always glad to add more authentic decals and emblems to War Thunder. Keep checking in for more devblogs on upcoming vehicles and features, and we’ll see you soon!

Comments will be premoderatedWill Venezuelan roundels be coming this update? Venezuela has had skins for a while and now a plane so it would be cool to see it in game
this is nice but can you guys add the new syrian flag decals?
Yay more JSDF decals!
When new Syrian flag decal update?
What’s happened to the Venezuelan roundel? You’d announced it for the last update, but there’s still no news.
This makes me happy. Can I complain about the need for this for vehicle tags in game? Too many nations have the unicolor roundel so you can't tell if it's Italian, French, English or what. We need more stuff like the Hungarian one, where it is instantly clear that it is a hungarian version of a vehicle in another nation.
A late war red balkenkreuz decal would be nice too
Damn this is pretty cool. Though I have to ask for the millionth time, can we please have some updated norwegian air force roundels that aren't super scratched, and some stealth ones? (also the current norwegian air force roundel has a big square border around it that is very visible on some vehicles, please fix)
Ayyyyyy, the roundel I suggested (Irish Air Corps one) is coming, let's gooooooooo! :D
Quite amazed by how detailed Thai Ground Vehicle Markings are. Hats off to the arts team.
