The Bf 109 fighter’s maiden flight took place on May 29th 1935, at Augsburg-Haunstetten Airfield. The aircraft demonstrated excellent performance and became the Luftwaffe’s primary fighter during the pre-war and early war years. Approximately 34,000 Bf 109s were produced, making it the most produced fighter aircraft in history.
On June 1st 1939, the Fw 190, one of the best and most versatile German fighters of the Second World War, took to the skies for the first time. More than 20,000 variants of this fighter were produced between 1941 and 1945. The Fw 190 proved particularly effective in the air over the English Channel in 1941–42: its superiority over the Spitfire Mk.V at medium altitudes forced Great Britain to urgently modernize its aircraft fleet. It was the Fw 190 and Bf 109 that provided cover for German ships during Operation Cerberus.

About this aircraft
- The Bf 109 Z-1 (rank IV) is a unique twin-fuselage aircraft, literally cobbled together from two Bf 109s! It is extremely fast, capable of reaching speeds of up to 700 km/h, and at high altitudes, nothing compares. It is armed with four 30 mm cannons, better suited for close-range combat and can carry one 250 kg bomb, either high explosive or incendiary.

The good old 109s and 190s. Pretty nostalgic.
Is the BF 109 z-1 just the German version of the twin mustang?
Now, you get more plane, per plane!
When you are alone, but you really need a wingman in air battles ;)
