And it IS usually tracks — after all, thanks to them, tanks can easily traverse difficult terrain and climb obstacles. But in the second half of the XXth century an interesting alternative emerged, namely wheeled armoured vehicles. Compared to their tracked brethren, wheeled tanks are considerably faster AND cheaper.

BV 138 C-1: Ship of the sky
The BV 138 is a German WWII flying boat, developed in the late 1930s as a replacement to the outdated Dornier Do 18. The Avro Shackleton is a long-range, multipurpose maritime patrol aircraft, built as a counter to the increasing threat of Soviet submarines in the early days of the Cold War.
