2024 Review: Tech and Mechanics
All throughout 2024, War Thunder has been showing steady development in all directions. Among the most important additions were the reworked visuals and the implementation of raytracing. It made the lights and shadows much juicier and way more realistic, with glass and water surfaces producing natural, genuine reflections of the environment.

New Ground Map: Attica
In addition to anticipated vehicles, the Storm Warning update brings a new location for combined battles: the sunny Attica inspired by the sunlit landscapes of the south-east of Greece. Eurofighter Typhoon: Riding the Wind
The Storm Warning update brings the roar of jet turbines, and with them, several new high-rank aircraft! And a special role among them is reserved for a couple of multirole European fighters that look a lot like twins. Please welcome the multinational Eurofighter Typhoon, a fighter that made its maiden flight in 1994 and is still in production. In War Thunder, this plane is the new top for the aircraft tech trees of Germany, Italy, and Great Britain!

IAR-93B Vultur — Flight of the Vulture
The Flight of the Vulture event brings a unique aircraft to our game, and today we’d like to take a closer look at it! This subsonic fighter-bomber is a joint development of Yugoslavia and Romania. Made in the early 1970s, it was accepted into service by both nations under the names of the J-22 Orao and the IAR-93 Vultur respectively. The Romanian version’s name means ‘vulture’, and its late modification is the one available to players!
