2024 Review: Tech and Mechanics

All throughout 2024, War Thunder has been showing steady development in all directions. Among the most important additions were the reworked visuals and the implementation of raytracing. It made the lights and shadows much juicier and way more realistic, with glass and water surfaces producing natural, genuine reflections of the environment. Of course, RTX wasn’t the only improvement to graphics that we’ve made. This year alone, we’ve reworked almost all visual effects in our game: shots, sparks, explosions, fires, afterburner flames, rocket motor fumes, air vortices, trails of smoke, dirt on vehicles, rain, water flows, fuel leaks, plant destruction, and many more!

Don't forget, you can now use video subtitles!
