MiGs Going Supersonic
The Mikoyan-and-Gurevich Design Bureau was one of the trailblazers of the jet age in the USSR. The MiG-9 was a decent aircraft all things considered, but as they wanted to make even faster planes, Soviet engineers decided to go with a swept wing instead of the conventional straight wing design – and so the MiG-15 was created: a fighter of the new type, which quickly made a name for itself thanks to its excellent characteristics. Today we’re going to discuss the ways you can play it effectively, the MiG-17 and the MiG-19.

National Foundation Day in Japan
According to legend, Jimmu, the first Emperor of Japan ascended to the throne 2683 years ago on the first day of the first Lunar month — that was February 11th, 660 BC. After the Meiji Restoration, the Emperor decreed this day a national holiday; it was temporarily banned after WWII, but was brought back in the mid-1960s. On February 11th Japanese temples hold festivals, buildings are decorated with flags, and the royal family addresses the nation.

Art of Winning: KV Tanks
In the late 1930s the Soviet tank industry was in a very interesting place as there were numerous tank designs competing for the spot of the perfect heavy tank. In the end, though, after thorough testing, countless land battleships were swept aside to give way to the one and only Kliment Voroshilov tank, or simply KV. This vehicle was a progenitor of the whole series of tanks that played a major part in WW2... and this video is all about those armor-clad monsters!
