M2A4 Light Tank

This reserve tank was the basis for most of the great American tanks used in World War 2 including the famed Sherman. Although crude in some areas, it also introduced many successful features. In game it is just plain fun no matter what the map, like a Corvette with a big gun!

T32 Heavy Tank

The Jagdpanzer 38(t), later nicknamed 'Hetzer', was a German tank destroyer based on the chassis of the Pz.Kpfw. 38(t) light tank of Czech origin. It was a successful vehicle in its role and used widely across the all fronts in Europe until the end of the war.

IS-2 Mod. 1944

The IS-2 (for Iosif Stalin) Mod. 1944 was a Soviet late-war heavy tank designed for the final assault on Europe. The powerful 122 mm D-25T cannon in combination with heavy armour made it an efficient breakthrough tank and a force to be reconed with.

ISU-152 «Zveroboy»

The ISU-152 was a Soviet heavy SPG built on top of an IS chassis and equipped with a ML-20S howitzer cannon. The powerful gun can have devastating effects on its enemies, but slow reload and limited maneuverability are serious drawbacks.

The Kawanishi N1K2-J «Shiden-Kai» was a land-based Japanese Army Air Force fighter of late World War II. Feared as an enemy and liked by it's pilots, it was a sucessful aircraft in its role as fighter and interceptor.

PzKpfw II Ausf C/F and DAK

Don’t let this “toy” tank fool you, it can pull its weight even in higher BR battles using its high mobility to spot and outflank. Historically it also showed its mettle against superior armored but slower forces were used successfully in blitzkrieg tactics again and again.

Marder III

Marders were liked for their reliability and firepower, and remained in service right until the end of war, even when they were substitued by fully enclosed designs such as Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer. In total, from 1942 to 1944, 942 Marders III were made in the Böhmisch-Mährische Maschinenfabrik AG plant in Prague, and were used on all fronts, including the deserts of North Africa.

The F6F 'Hellcat'

In June 1942 the Grumman 'Iron Works' released the prototype of what would later become the F6F 'Hellcat'. As a sturdy and fast weapons platform, the new American fighter was a good match to the combat-hardened Japanese A6M Zero, which dominated the skies over the Pacific Theater up until now.

T-35: The Land Battleship

The T-35 not only extends the arsenal of different vehicle types available to the players of War Thunder, but also the possibility to re-create historic encounters.
