June 2nd, 1944 200 B-17 aircraft, flying from air bases in southern Italy, tasked with the bombing of military installations situated in Hungary. The aircraft rose into the sky, German fighters waited to pounce turned toward the bombers to launch an attack. But this did not happen.

Mixed battles between aviation and Ground forces

Tomorrow, on May 30th, we will be turning on mixed battles between aviation and Ground forces in the Realistic and Simulator game modes for all maps and ranks. CBT participants already tested these battles, but even they will see some changes.

The air battle over Dunkirk

Despite valiant efforts by the British Expeditionary Force and the forces of France, Belgium and their allies, the German Wehrmacht had swept through western Europe in a series of lightning advances, utterly defeating all who stood in their path. The battered and wounded elements of the combined allied forces were forced to retreat, taking position near the French city of Dunkirk in late May 1940.

Memorial Day, which is observed on the last Monday of May, commemorates the men and women who died while in the military service.  In observance of the holiday, many people visit cemeteries and memorials, and volunteers often place American flags on each grave site at national cemeteries.  A national moment of remembrance takes place at 3:00 p.m. local time.
