The third week of the WW2 Chronicles event series has begun, allowing the players to participate in the battles of Sevastopol and Moscow, the famous battles of the early Pacific theatre and the battle of Malta. Join the unique events involving ground vehicles and aircraft!

Korea was after Japan's defeat in World War II an ostensibly free nation. However this was short-lived, as tensions and the growing hostility between the US and the USSR quickly lead to a country divided by ideological differences.

Stanislaw Skalski was born on November 27^th 1915, in Kodyma in modern day Ukraine. Following the Russian Revolution in 1917, Skalski’s father sent him, along with his mother, to Zbaraz – then in Poland. His father joined them in 1921 after making his way through Romania.

The 1950s saw a massive leap in the technological development of aircraft. The dawn of the jet age in the later part of the 1940s was in full force during the 50’s, however whilst much had changed, it was the design philosophy of a 1944 Air Ministry requirement that gave way to one of the RAFs most successful aircraft and bomber design in history.

We invited several popular YouTube authors to ride on real US tanks and compare the feelings to virtual US tanks in War Thunder.
The event took place in Museum of American G.I. in Texas – the same place where we recorded engine and gun sounds for some US vehicles in our game. 

By the end of the Second World War, the Red Army was seeking to further improve their tank arsenal. Even though the T-34-85 and T-44 medium tanks armed with 85 mm guns were still adequate, the rapid pace of tank development would mean that in a few years they might become obsolete.
