White Rock Fortress makes a return to the game after 4 years! This beloved map has received a hefty visual upgrade and has been rebuilt in some areas, but the familiar navigation we all know has remained largely the same.
Ardennes has been visually updated and rendered in modern graphics standards with a wealth of fine detail. The original layout has remained the same.
One of the key changes was the support for an animated height map for water effects. This allows the geometric shape of the water to change according to the needs of each effect, such as a bullet cutting through the water's surface, a bomb explosion, the wake from a torpedo slicing through water, or even a raindrop disturbing the mirror-like water surface. This effect is procedural, meaning it literally deforms the surface mesh, creating a sense of tangible depth even in static frames.
We’ve got more details about the new effects in a dedicated dev blog here, check it out!
There’s plenty more to see!

Well done! The best update in a long time. I'm really looking forward to the piston-engine planes. Thanks for that, Gaijin!
I looked trough the changes and i still dont understand why it wont let me enter the game, like the game was good before the update
I don't understand the inconsistency of giving us a heads up about shuffling USA ground techtree meanwhile there are silent reshuffle of the Russian one before the update even dropped, I'm looking at that T-64B thats been moved ranks and folders. Why wasn't it shown and held till the update went live?
I am not sure what you have on mind. We mentioned the change here: https://warthunder.com/en/news/9885-development-rank-ix-aircraft-and-reshuffles-to-the-aviation-and-ground-vehicle-research-trees-en
Honestly liking most of the up date, good new vehicle additions, updated models and new munitions added to some vehicles. I dislike the fact that the % of crew displayed when playing naval has just been removed and not kept in addition to the new indicator, kind of hard to tell how close they are to being doomed. And the new crew skills UI, i like the part where it highlights the parts which are effected, But not how it looks and that i cant manage multiple vehicles or switch crew vehicle type.
I definitely NEED
The saddest part of this update for me at least would be how France somehow only got 1 low tier destroyer and that's it... Plenty of vehicle choices available, especially infamous families like the entire ERC series missing, and all we get is a ship and a nerf for the Leclerc's by adding the turret baskets....
We have 10 nations in game (and multiple sub branches). We are not able to introduce new vehicles to every nation and every vehicle type, sorry :(
the trails ships leave behind show at the top of the water and also at the bottom so there's a phantom trail underneath
Out of all the ground vehicles added. Only two are normal tanks. Everything else is either a howitzer or a rat tank.
still no MiG-29 flight model fix💔 i don't wanna sound ungrateful considering y'all finally gave the 9-13 R-73s, and added the MiG-29M(why as squadron tho?) but whats the point of doing anything with the MiG-29 in WT when it can't even beat an F-15 in a dogfight... we know from IRL trials (post GDR) that the MiG-29 could hold the same turns (and sometimes greater) than the F-16 block 15, it was the whole reason the F-16C was put into development...
With the new crew menu update, is there no way to see how close you are to getting Ace Crew for free when you've put an Expert Crew on? Or has this been removed? I enjoyed getting a free Ace Crew on my Strf 9040 Bill and Strv 103C, and was hoping to get it on some other tanks and planes over time.
