The P-39N-0 is Temporarily Available for Alexander Pokryshkin’s Birthday!
On March 6th 1913, Alexander Ivanovich Pokryshkin was born. He was one of the most successful aces of the Second World war. His “thunderstorm formula” became a classic of aerial combat: “Altitude, speed, maneuver, fire!” Pokryshkin participated in 150 air battles and shot down approximately 50-60 enemy aircraft, for which he was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union three times.
Pokryshkin’s P-39N-0 is temporarily available to purchase for 1,300 Golden Eagles!

About this aircraft
- Pokryshkin in his P-39N-0 (rank III) achieved a significant portion of his aerial victories in 1943 in the P-39N-0 Airacobra. The aircraft’s dive speed, climb rate, and maneuverability, as well as its powerful 37 mm cannon perfectly matched the ace’s winning formula. Try to replicate it!

Comments will be premoderated10 years ago there were talks about adding more named planes for other nations as well with similar mini sale events. Hardly none were added. None of German super aces got one and look at Japan: "Tada's Ki-61", but the squadron had no pilot named like that. It is a good way to sell copy-paste planes with new skin and possibly other minor changes, so what's the issue?
Agreed, I always found it strange that one of the most popular nations has no named planes except for Flegel's Bf 109, but that's a rank 1 plane that every nation has, and Hubert Pölz's Ju 87 R-2 Libya but it's not even displayed as a named vehicle in the game
The issue is it doesn't make them money because no one wants to play low BR and ranks anymore unfortunately.

A War Thunder classic. I love this rocket of a climber and Pokryshkin’s philosophy of removing unnecessary items. Glad my friends have a chance to pick it up.
Can't believe Gaijin made me grind for this plane by killing something like 1250 enemies during the Indian Summer event. 5 months later it was on sale for the same price just like today.
I fully support the coment of Teh0. It's an easy way to ad a qwerky version/ variant of an airplane already in game, and give prop players a mini event for them, as well a new content. It's a win-win situation.
