The legendary in-game King Tiger with the early turret type (commonly known as the “Porsche” turret) will soon be receiving a new visual model and numerous internal module improvements. Meet the redesigned Tiger II (P), coming in the next major update!
First, let’s take a look at the Tiger II (P) from the outside. We’ve given it some general geometry corrections, especially noticeable on the turret, which underwent the most extensive reworking. A protective ring was added around the turret ring, which was previously a very vulnerable area. Zimmerit has now been added to the hull and turret. This is a special compound that was applied to Wehrmacht armored vehicles to protect against magnetic mines, though as far as the game is concerned its purely cosmetic. Spare tracks have been added to the sides of the turret too, slightly increasing the protection. The actual tracks themselves are also new.
Next, what about the internals? The armor will be updated to the more accurate volumetric model, correctly reflecting the dimensions of the tank’s protective structure when it’s hit. The models of the internal modules have also been reworked, becoming more detailed and accurate.

You’ll be able to see the updated Tiger II (P) for yourself very soon! And in one of the future major updates, we also plan to make improvements to the external model of the Tiger II (H), so make sure to keep an eye out for that!

Comments will be premoderatedI hope you fix the machine gun port eating shots and the cupola as well
I have a good question, will these changes also affect the Swedish Kungstiger as it is basically the same tank?
Kungstiger (swedish version) is already a new, different model, it was not a copy-paste of German Tiger II (P) 3d model.
Please do the same with the Tiger II 10.5 cm and bring it back for everyone!
Nope.
Gaijin PLEASE correct the tiger 2 names and stop spreading misinformation.. Love the design tho
Panther and Ferdinands also urgently need a revamp. The camouflage texture look absolutely horrible on them. And honestly, german camouflage in general need to be revised. The colors are all dull, the shape all wrong.
You should add the option to add or remove the Zimmerit on the armor like a camo net for late war German tanks to add more choice to customization
First Tigers II Came with 700hp, later on it came with 600 so its must easier to speculate whatever you want to nerf it.
11 year old veteran here and I would like to thank you Gaijin for this and request further that please keep adding more quality of life updates like these to more of the vehicles that are already present in the game instead of adding new top vehicles each update that keep unbalancing the gameplay experience. So, please put your focus on these kind of model updates, performance and BR balance. I like this game a lot want this game to stay this one of a kind gem in many more years to come.
Model updates are my fav
If we're all going to bleat about (P) and (H) then let's go all the way and drop the name King Tiger as it's really just the Tiger Ausf. B. (Or maybe we can all relax and not get hung up on names! :) )
