In 1952, American instructors trained the first soldiers of the Japanese National Security Forces. Two years later on July 1st 1954, the Japanese Self-Defense Forces were formed. In January 1955, the United States transferred its first 85 aircraft to the Japanese Air Self-Defense Forces. In total they have 712 aircraft in service, of which 321 are fighters.
The J2M4 Kai and IJN Kiyoshimo are temporarily available for Golden Eagles!
In honor of the 70th anniversary of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces, the following vehicles are available for 3,850 and 4,880 Golden Eagles respectively.
When: From today until July 4th (09:00 GMT).
Where: Japan > Aviation / Bluewater fleet > Premium vehicles.
The J2M4 Kai is a prototype of the Raiden series, designed to improve the fighter’s performance at high altitudes. Thanks to its rate of climb and good armament, it’s best suited for passing attacks. The guns have an impressive 680 rounds of ammunition in total!
The IJN Kiyoshimo destroyer has decent mobility and is equipped with good anti-air defences and 16 torpedoes. Its 127 mm main guns have a slow traverse speed, but they make up for it with good ballistics and a decent rate of fire!

Comments will be premoderatedHow Kiyoshimo and J2M4 are related to JSDF?
SoloWing_Makarov, I imagine it is to allow rare vehicles like the J2M4 to come back for collectors, which I do not mind in the slightest.
SoloWing_Makarov, They just offer a few vehicles that are normally hidden when these mini-anniversaries roll around. It's no biggie to me, I appreciate it in all honesty. Lets people get a vehicle they previously missed out on.
Man, eyeing up that J2M4 right now. Turbocharged Raiden? Even moar climbrate? Sign me up.
revolver265, It's the worst climbing Raiden, even on high altitudes. Not very good turbocharger, which also added plenty of weight.
The final remaining piece of my air tree. Finally i have it all.
Subarashii!!
Awesome decal! I think I speak for everyone when I say we want to see more authentic decal rewards during these events instead of the more cartoon-y ones. Maybe even rerelease old authentic decals in crate bundles with a small random chance to get Japanese gift vehicles like the Ka Chi!
Always happy to see Kiyoshimo come back, even though I already have her. :)
If we already have the vehicles, will we still get the decal automatically?
Steelmule, No, you can read that decal is available to anyone, who: "Play 3 battles using Japanese vehicles at rank III or higher". You do not need vehicles visible in this article. Any Japanese vehicle(rank 3+) will do
too many Anniversaries these days lol wish we will see typhoon and f18 for germany this year :)
