We’ve been made aware of many of your requests for smaller teams in Air Realistic Battles as 16v16 teams are sometimes overwhelming in terms of the number of missiles at once.
With the release of the upcoming major update, we’ll be adding an option to the Air Realistic Battles game selection window where you’ll be able to turn on smaller team sizes.

This mechanic works in the same way as turning on the option for night battles: if there’s enough players in the queue with this option enabled, you’ll have a chance of getting into an air battle with smaller team sizes.
When this option is enabled, you’ll have the chance of getting into a battle with smaller team sizes (min - max: 6 - 12) instead of a regular battle (min - max: 6 - 16). Further adjustments in the future are possible depending on how sessions go.
This will only be for aircraft with a Battle Rating of 10.0 or higher, where high-end air-to-air missiles are far more prevalent.

Thank you for your feedback on this and we hope that this option for smaller teams will make your experience in Air Realistic Battles more enjoyable. Be sure to enable this option with the release of the major update!

Am I dreaming? xD
Vonarian, No, this is real life!
Vonarian, so, the panther 2 exsited , i see
It's a good start but 6-12 is still too big in my opinion. I would like team sizes of 5 - 10. 12 planes will still have too many missiles when there are planes carriying 8 missiles. As the game progresses, F-18 with sidekick packages will be able to carry 12 missiles. The F-18E can carry 14 missiles.
A step in the right direction, though if this feature is similar to how night battles work it would be much appreciated if the chance of getting a small battle is significantly higher than the chance for getting a night battle. I obviously don't have all the statistics, but my experience with night battles is that I might get one in every ten games. Having small matches have a higher chance to appear would be great for somebody with this option enabled.
We Need 8v8 ARB matches!!!!
YES!
Don't make it opt in, just decease the team sizes
Will you be limiting the number of attacker/bomber class aircraft in the game mode? 6 Tornado IDS models vs 6 Phantoms will be a bit 1 sided for example.
if you are gonna make it a toggle make it so you can not get big games with it enabled
Wow, this is extremley disapointing, so I will have a CHANCE of getting into a battle with 12v12 players, considering that majority of players will enable this option.. the Q for the "smaller" match will be larger and therefore in the best case scenario people would get into a 12v12 matches and that is questionable too because I'ts only a CHANCE. I guess we are all stupid to expect a genuinely good change from the snail.
