Arriving in the high tiers of the French ground forces tree as part of the next major update, the second variant of the AMX-32 - a further development of the renowned AMX-30 MBT - will soon make its way into War Thunder ground battles!
AMX-32 (105), main battle tank, France, rank VI.
Features:
- Fast-firing 105 mm cannon
- Thermal vision
- Gun stabilizer
- 20 mm coaxial cannon
- Mediocre protection
The AMX-32 (105) is the second of the two variants of the AMX-32 making its appearance in War Thunder as part of the next major update. Arriving as a reinforcement to the high tiers of the French ground forces tree, the AMX-32 (105) possesses near identical characteristics to its already well-familiar sibling with the only exception being its armament. Let’s take a closer look!
Unlike the original AMX-32 which veteran French tankers have already had plenty of time to get accustomed to, the AMX-32 (105) comes equipped with, as the name already suggests, a 105 mm main gun unlike the 120 mm cannon found on the existing variant. As a result, tank commanders will be faced with a tradeoff: is it preferable to have more raw stopping power in the form of a larger caliber gun or is a faster rate of fire more important to win a gun duel? Either way, French tankers will now have both options available to them and can therefore always pick the most suitable version of the AMX-32 for the job at hand.
While the two vehicles distinguish themselves from each other in their armament, the remaining specifications remain virtually unchanged. The new AMX-32 (105) inherits the same general layout, powerplant and armor scheme as its predecessor including all of its handy features such as gun stabilization, thermal vision and laser rangefinding while also maintaining a decent level of mobility for a rank VI MBT. Just be sure to avoid direct exposure to enemy fire as the AMX-32’s armor will often not be sufficient enough to stop potent armor-piercing rounds used in high-rank battles.
The AMX-32 (105) will soon be available to all tankers at the top ranks of the French ground forces tree as a new high tier main battle tank. In the meantime, be sure to keep a close watch on our news as we continue unveiling other exciting new additions and features awaiting you in the next major update. Until then, happy hunting tankers!

Comments will be premoderatedNice, I guess this will be good to fill out the tree and the lineup. Good to see France get some love.
Hopefully a Super Etendard waiting in the wing...
Better Late than Never!
Very needed vehicle for France :). I hope the next French addition will be the AMX 10P. I'm also waiting for the MB.326K for Italy.
MB.326K and MB.339K PLEASE.
Tank way overdue, this was asked for 2 years back, sits at BR where France would have been better off getting an IFV/LT instead of this, at least IFV/LT could still be used at top tier but instead france are still stuck with 3 MBTs and a SAM for top tier for god knows how long. France did not need this tank, they needed IFV/LT
Well, many Players from comments section do not agree with you.
no no no, I mean thx for this but we need light tanks!! AMX 10RCR T40, Jaguar without missile variant, VBCI I / II, Vextra 105/120, AMX 10P with Milan missile, VAB CT-RWS...... Why is it so hard to add it when another nation can have those types of vehicles, AND don't get started I'm a German main, and I'm not bias on a single nation
As a French main I am happy to see this vehicle but what we actually need is a Stabilized AMX-10RC. Every nation has a high tier Stabilized light vehicle. Com on Gaijin. I am not even gonna mention 10 more French vehicles that could be added. Stop giving these "Small" nations mediocre vehicles and stop nerfing Japan as well. I mean STB1 which was completely butchered.
very nice, a bit late but I'll gladly take it!
Minimum effort copy-paste vehicle instead of a long overdue top tier light tank / IFV ... Don't get me wrong, I'll most likely play and spade it, then never touch it again. Meanwhile PUMAs, Bradleys, HSTVLs, all sorts of BMPs and BMDs, 2S38, Japanese Type 16, damn even the british Warrior ...
Which vehicle you mentioned was used by French army?
For the love of god, France finally gets something they desperately need, and yet people will still complain. Of course I want an IFV like the VBCI too, but can we please just acknowledge that this is a very good addition compared to what French ground usually gets?
Finally something with Gun stabilizer
After over 3 years, the 30 Super finally has a backup vehicle, lovely stuff
