War Thunder background
It’s fixed! №35

In this digest we would like to tell you about our continuing work on improvements and fixes in the game. You can find information about all updates that have been released in War Thunder on the website special section.

A reminder about the new bug reporting service.

We already told you about it last time but we would like to remind you about it this time too. Now, our projects have a convenient service through which you can report bugs right in the game. If you come across a report with the same problem as yours, mark it with “I have the same problem!”. This way, frequently occuring bugs won’t go unnoticed.

СOMMUNITY.GAIJIN.NET

For now, the forum is also still available for bug reports but soon we intend fully switching to a new service for collecting bug reports. You can get to the service directly from the game by clicking: “Community → Report an issue”.

Separately we want to note that this service should be used only to report errors in the game. With all problems concerning payments, crediting of goods and operation of the store in general, please contact our support by using https://support.gaijin.net.

Separate launch by following hot reports

image

Today's digest will be opened by an inaccuracy reported to us by players in the new bug service. On the Hellcat the missiles came off the pylons in pairs and only when selecting rocket and bomb suspended weaponry it was possible to use a separate launch.

The Hurricane Mk.IIB/Trop, Hurricane Mk.IV, F6F-5, Typhoon and their variants now have separate rocket launches.

Illuminating and not blinding shells

image

In night battles, illuminating shells help players better see terrain and vehicles on the battlefield under low light conditions. But with a night vision device the glow from special shells was too strong and players had to turn off the device for a while.

Now the maximum brightness of the picture in the night vision devices has been reduced and even with turned on NV the illuminating shells don’t interfere with the view.

“Rangefinder” modifications in AB

image

Each vehicle modification is useful and necessary in its own way. The same applies to the “Rangefinder” modification which allows you to determine the distance to the target and make the decisive shot from a long distance.

In ground AB the situation was somewhat different, the “Rangefinder” modification influenced only the displayed range next to the crosshair which in the case of postwar vehicles with fire control system made shooting at long ranges in AB even more difficult than in RB/SB. Now the “Rangefinder” modification will increase the range of the ballistic marker (AB cross) but only in terms of aiming while the armour penetration indicator range will remain the same.

Fireball over water

In naval battles there are often pilots who are ready to risk their vehicle in order to sink another ship and its crew with topmast bombardment. When the attack failed and the aircraft was shot down the effect of the destroyed aircraft could travel rapidly over the water leaving a visible smoke trail or even bright fire.

We have fixed this bug and now the smoke and fire trail will not be displayed across the entire location. Thank to our players for the correct passed bug.

More improvements

For this digest we have prepared a large set of useful fixes and game improvements. Be sure to read the full list which we have prepared in the separate changelog - there are many interesting things.
