M-51
For the initial formation of the domestic armored forces, Israel received several hundred American Sherman tanks of various modifications from several foreign countries, However, war-time Shermans were not able to effectively counter the Arabian T-54 and T-55. It was obvious that the tanks required more effective firepower, as well as a new engine, better suited for the desert. The Israeli Shermans went through four upgrade stages. A French-built 105mm gun of the CN 105 F1 series with an effective muzzle brake was installed in place of the standard American gun, and the engine was replaced with a diesel Cummins VT8-460. The tanks, receiving the designation M-51, used the American HVSS type suspension and domestic automatic transmission. M-51 series tanks remained in service until the 1990s.
The M-51 will be a premium rank IV tank and one of the first representatives of a separate tech tree of the Israeli armored vehicles. The M-51 hull was borrowed from the American Sherman tank, so at rank IV the tank lacks armor protection, but the M-51 is able to withstand the hits from automatic guns of ground vehicles, aircraft cannons and is relatively well protected from the explosions of small and medium bombs.
The key advantage of this tank is a French-made 105mm cannon with powerful HEAT shells that are used on the French AMX-30 tanks. Composite or ERA protection are very rare for armored vehicles of this range, therefore the M-51 shape-charge rounds are able to pierce the armor of almost any tank, but due to the focused action of the shell, it requires careful aiming at the enemy's critical modules - ammo racks, engine, gun breech, or crew.
Merkava Mk.2D
The Merkava tanks from the second production series were created after the experience of the Lebanon war (1982) that revealed the need for additional protection of the crew, especially against HEAT rounds. The turret's protection was increased by installing external armor modules. In addition, the tank received a new fire control system, a laser warning system, and a new transmission. The Mk.2D version (the full name being Merkava Siman 2 Bet Dor Dalet) is a further development of the Merkava Mk.2B modification and is distinguished by additional combined armor modules covering the turret, as well as additional armor in the upper front part of the hull.
The Merkava Mk.2D will be a rank VI Premium tank in the ground vehicles research tree for Israel. The vehicle retains all the advantages of its predecessor, the Mk.2B - a laser rangefinder, a thermal imager in the gunner's sight, laser warning and effective anti-tank ammunition.
The main difference in the new tank is the improved protection of the turret’s sides and the hull’s front upper glacis. The sides of the turret are reinforced with modules of combined armor that are intended for additional protection of the turret from shape-charged weapons. Additional protective modules are also installed on the upper frontal part of the hull, increasing the protection for the driver. In game, the enhanced HEAT protection of the tank will become especially relevant for countering ATGM carriers, as well as helicopters, while effective HEAT and APFSDS shells will allow the new Merkava Mk.2D to easily destroy almost any enemy vehicle in battles.

Add North Korean tree
North Korea would most likely be a tree inserted within the Chinese tree tbh. Kind of like how South Korea would likely be US, even though it has enough tanks to help fill up one of the Asian trees, like Japan.
Why not just continue to add NK vehicles, along with those used by other overseas buyers of Chinese mil-tech, into the China tech tree (Shenyang F-5 is already there)? That tree already exists and can benefit from more vehicles that increase its competitiveness, while there's probably nowhere near enough information to add a standalone North Korean tree.
Nice... 400mm pen ruining the game down to 5.0.... good job gaijin!
But I'd imagine that reloading a 105mm gun in the space of a Sherman turret won't be particular a quick affair, and the ammo quantity may be quite limited compared to the 76mm rounds it would carry. Plus, it's not hard to take out a Sherman.
its just heat which only works better in special occassion (e.g facing tiger 2 frontal). as for damage, kinetic shot waaaaay better than this
Now add Arabic Republic tech tree or Syrian tech tree.
You mean russia?
They dont even ahve 1 Unique tank XD
What a joke a copy paste merkarva, a slap in the face of everyone who grinded the event. Shame on you
I know, how dare they add Israel's MBT to the Israeli tree. I suppose you were mad about the Chinese vehicles getting added to the Chinese tree as well, even though they were event vehicles, too?
AceofWWII, yah dude some ppl r kinda stupid ngl, i grinded all 3 merkava events and im fine with this one cuz im gona prob buy it anyways ^^
will we see the LAHAT ATGM ingame with the merkava mk3 and 4s?
No title, decal, camo or little thingy? No discount to get both or literally anything?? I would have bought even both of them if there was some nice bait to convince me, but like this im just gona wait for a sale and not bother
Merkava looks so cool
Yup it does :)
0mm on composite screens in turret is not cool >:(
kinda funny that M-51 with it's 7.7 gun has the same BR with T20
I'm not defending the decision, but even though the gun is great the rest of the vehicle is mediocre, it's a good tank, but it shouldn'r have more than 6.7 br
As thehelio33 said, good gun but the rest of the tank and probable lack of any form of stabiliser (I haven't checked) will be good counters. Plus, as with all vehicles BR and even tier is not fixed and changes over time depending on how well or poorly it performs ingame.
40$ for a sherman with new gun, boi wtf
Are the Simulator Battles lineups updated for the new vehicles? Is it possible to play the new vehicles in Simulator Battles? Why not?
