Our latest major update ‘Groundbreaking’ brings many improvements to all areas of the game! Including new maps, visual effects, and various new vehicles - and let's not forget our new game nation - Israel! Currently hosting the premium Spitfire LF Mk.IXe and A-4E late. The biggest feature coming in this update though is of course terramorphing - now bombs, large caliber guns and tanks wielding dozer blades can modify and shape the terrain and alter the course of battle!
Terramorphing
Terramorphing mechanics have been added. Terrain and soil now interact with caterpillars and dozer blades on vehicles, bombs and rocket explosions leave craters on the terrain surfaces.
Aircraft
10 new or upgraded aircraft, new guided bombs and targeting pods.
Israeli aircraft packs
Ground vehicles
11 new vehicles including 3 lightweight armoured weapons carrier from the Wiesel family, and the Ystervark, a South African mobile anti-air unit.
Naval Fleet
Two new ships, the nimble USS Mitscher with automatic 127 mm guns, and the gigantic HMS Marlborough with ten 343 mm canons!
New locations
3 new maps, Aral Sea for mixed battles in a deserted seaside city, Bourbon island for aerial arcade battles and Vyborg Bay for coastal fleet.

I can't start the game after this update...checked all computer settings on my end, no issues. WT was working fine up to yesterday. Suggestions?
Hi guys, I guess we all welcome updates, new vehicles, new mechanics and all that stuff, but if you sustain high research costs and high prices on packs of high tier vehicles, there will never be enough money to enjoy this combat simulation platform called War Thunder. And this becomes specially true for players like me, wanting to research a huge variety of nations and vehicles. Just to think about this... maybe it will be better to earn less money on more purchases than to earn more on fewer.
Least Japan got two dozers
PBY for Israel!
I'm going to rush research the new SPAAG of ZAF, i love silly vehicles !
I feel like the name of this update is ironic, considering that most of the "new" vehicles are just different versions of ones already in the game. Groundbreaking indeed.
what about flak bursts for 20mm AA shells instead of planes dying and continue to shoot and drop bombs after the plane is dead?, AA and AT Ai defence in the spawns to stop campers or even minelayers to surround the spawns that only the team can see?, which could lead to mine clearing tanks such as flail shermans and chuchills, nerf of planes supriority in Arcade Gfs lose a plane lose the tank also , anti tank defences for tank destroyers and aa pits for aa vehicles
APFSDS now can through many objects, such as walls and rocks. Is this something includes for the update or it's just a bug?
where sale
T26E5... i was long awaiting. Not sure why it was not teased at all, but its repair cost, Battle rating and gun mantlet are definietly something that needs rethinking. Fix it please!
