The PT-16/T14 mod is a later prototype of the current generation German MBT, featuring an autoloading mechanism. German tankers in War Thunder will soon have the chance to add this experimental version of one of the most well-known German fighting vehicles by taking part in the upcoming crafting event!
PT-16/T14 mod, MBT, Germany, rank VI, event vehicle.
Pros
- Autoloaded 120mm cannon
- Superb mobility
Cons
- Mediocre protection
During the development of the Leopard 2 project, German engineers came up with several different hull and turret designs as well as respective combinations. This led to equally many different prototype designs being tested. Among these experimental versions was the Leopard chassis with the PT-14 turret, developed by Krauss-Maffei in the early 1980s.
The peculiarity of this design was the presence of an autoloading mechanism for the cannon, giving it an extremely high rate of fire. Despite undergoing exhaustive tests in Germany, the autoloader wasn’t adopted in the final design of the Leopard 2 and the concept remained just a prototype.
The PT-16/T14 mod will be the top prize awaiting participants of the upcoming crafting event “Export Order”, starting soon in War Thunder. Fitted to the highly mobile hull of the Leopard 2 MBT, the PT-14 turret brings with it an extremely potent combination of the deadly Rh 120 smoothbore cannon coupled with a quick autoloading mechanism which gives the battle-proven Rh 120 cannon a formidable rate of fire of 15 rounds/min before the 9-round feed is depleted. Combined with the vehicle’s excellent mobility, this experimental Leopard 2 has the potential to devastate an opposing force’s flank if a successful breakthrough is achieved!
Leopard 2 is one of the most beloved main battle tanks in the game, its modifications can be seen in literally every high rank battle. The PT-16/T14 mod preserves and increases its advantages, but does not deprive it of its drawbacks - very weak side protection and relatively low turret defense. Like other tanks in the Leopard 2 series, the PT-16/T14 mod relies on an excellent gun, high-tech fire-control system and good dynamics. And now, the auto loader allows you to send opponents to the hangar twice as fast!
Be sure to add this unique early modification of the revered Leopard 2 MBT to your in-game collection by taking part in the upcoming “Export Order” event. Good luck and happy hunting tankers!

Its should be a Leclerc or a Type10 prototype not a Leopard.
Do we already know something about its BR?

Im gonna grind for this one and sell it for the xm 1
Milking money from german players must be really easy
"another German vehicle. Why not a minor nation?" Guys they added the French ebr to the battle pass and another to the event and everyone complained about how its not in the tree. Make up your mind already
Holy shit people the amount of crying about a prototype leopard is insane. I get that Germany has a lot of leopards but they haven't had an event vehicle in well over a year and a half. Plus its good that in the events its prototype vehicles and not ones that should be in the main tech tree.
Mobility and firepower are the main components of a sealcluber. We must only hope now for a light armor so shot will overpen you.
"how bullshit and dumb can dev team be ?" -YES ! gaijin in a nutshell. as if only germany, US, or USSr can make prototypes ! this is total bullshit and germany did not need this at all ! did you hire wargaming dev team ? it looks insanely like it
GeRManY SuFfeRs!!!!! Meanwhile the Chinese tree is an emaciated husk not worth the effort but Germany definitely needs another leopard. Italy, Sweden, France, Japan and hell even Britain? Why would we ever give them anything nice...
But this tank didn't have an Autoloader!!!! I Have a picture of it with the loader riding in the loader's station. The special thing about turm 14 was that it had electrical drives instead of hydraulic drives to increase crew protection in case of penetration. The model even has the loader crew hatch and left-side loading port which was present in early Leo2's. The Autoloader is a lie. There did exist a similar-looking concept version called the "Eber" which did have an autoloader and 20mm.
Cake is a lie! And for real, if you have any valid docs, please share with us. We would gladly check your theory.
