On the 15th of September, 1940, over one and a half thousand experienced pilots from Great Britain with some of its friends and Germany entered battle in the skies over Southern England! This battle became a turning point in the attempts of the German command to completely destroy the Royal Air Force.
Great Britain withstood this battle, and to this day, every 15th September, the Allied nations and the whole world remember this heroic feat and commemorate "Battle of Britain day".

The battle of Britain started with an attack on Rosyth Dockyards in Scotland, it wasn't really just Southern England.
Interesting event, but i don't think any of both plane on offer were present during this battle. Making available the spit mkIXC would have been more interesting.
Would have been nice to see the Spitfire mk1b for free as it was actually used in the Battle of Britain unlike the two overpriced later spitfires and well isn't in the game (essentially they are the first B wing type spitfires with the same gun set up as the 2b and of course the mk1 engine unit).

The decal and temporary return of these two Spitfires are terrific, but I really miss the limited-timed historical events you used to hold for special occasions like this, Gaijin. Can you please bring them back?
