In this digest we would like to tell you about our continuing work on improvements and fixes in the game. You can find information about all updates that have been released in War Thunder on the website special section.
Driver skills improved
In our previous release we reported the improvement of turns and pivot control of the War Thunder ground vehicles. Though this improvement was warmly appreciated by the community, you have pointed out odd vehicle behavior on steep slopes.
When moving down a hill, the driver might forget to switch to a higher gear, making a vehicle slower than it could be moving. At the same time, while climbing up a slope, the driver might switch between gears 1 and 3.
These issues are solved now. A driver selects a proper gear ratio, depending on the circumstances. Go up better and down faster!
Client crash fix
Immediately after the “Red Skies” update, we rolled out several important fixes to prevent a game crash. The key one was related to the function of downloading additional content only from your hangar. Your bug reports helped greatly to make it happen as fast as possible.
The Gaijin Dev team would like to thank all the players who inform us about such issues. Thank you all!
Ship damage
This issue didn’t last long, but affected damage for War Thunder fleets from HE rounds. The durability of certain hull materials was mistakenly set too high for shrapnel and blast wave damage. This issue was especially noticeable in boat battles, but also affected the bluewater ships, making fuel tanks very durable against shrapnel.
Well, you’d better be afraid HE rounds again, since this issue is happily solved!.
ATGM fix
When the “Red Skies” update went live, we got numerous reports concerning the odd trajectories of the anti-tank guided missiles. Obviously, they were not supposed to fly like that!
We’ve fixed that rather fast, but we’re not sure all the players got the good news in time. The Snail reports: ATGM launch issue is fixed, once and for all!
Overpressure damage
For some time our overpressure damage mechanics were nuts! Can you imagine - when sitting near an ally, who is getting HE damage, you may also receive overpressure damage, which totally ignores your armour!
A tank without armour is nonsense, do you agree? So do we. We fixed this naughty bug in a day after the reporting.
The changes you feel
This release is mostly retrospective, since we decided not to tie down improvements that need to be released as soon as possible. However, we still have a good list of changes, released to the game to make your game experience better, a big list of individual fixes for vehicles that will definitely improve your gaming experience.
Once again, many thanks for all your bug reports that you submitted in our bug report section on the War Thunder forums.

I find it cute that Gaijin is trying to promote itself as the good guy while half of these bugs wouldn't even have made it to live if someone played the patch internally or we had a like, test server of the final build before releasing it. But hype sales > QA testing. "A tank without armor is nonsense", funny you say that after you killed the armor meta and introduced HEATFS into BR's it shouldn't. When are you gonna fix the maps and remove oiled tracks, make tanks behave like tanks again.
i dont agree completely but i surely agree on live testing for the final product i would love to see a dev server for the final stuff and allow players to see all the dirt left in it before adding it to the live server (since 99% of the times players are doing the test work anyways)
I hope that you know that there is in fact dev servers which even happen for every major update
when will you fix strv 103 aiming? and don't tell me to ssubmit a bug report please, we all know its been reported and 'fixed' many times but the aming system is still awful. PLEASE fix it i beg you
TV1-2 suffest the same faith sadly love the tank and its dual gun memeness but the aiming is awfull
Its fine relax
neat.
NOT neat!!! they are not implement M60T(which is best M60 in the world). im so sad!!! support M60T in forum. best M60 for USA m60 line!!!!!
modern_primat, please just stop spamming, M60T will likely never come, and if it did it would be a event vehicle that would cost $200 dollars and your soul
I don't know if you find the cost of vehicle repairs increasing quietly. If no one comes out against it, the player's earnings will always be exploited。
technically, they aren't increased, just gaijin adds and subtracts numbers to the repair cost every tiny update
Idk about repair costs but I feel the battle reward has been decreasing
ATGMs are still broken btw. You literally can't play the Shturm-S because the missiles just slam into the ground. Doesn't appear to be an issue in test drives so it might have something to do with the 300 ping I get every game. Pretty sure the same thing happens with the BMP-2.
The ping isn't the problem, before red skies it would work just fine at ping just as bad.
Scrifter, I've already made a bug report on this. Happens to everything where the launcher is not in line with the sight
Hope our VR pilots will find detailed changelog satisfying :)
Might as well give it a run for the money, I have a old VR headset. Let's see if the issues in VR are fixed. Cheers.
stonnaaa dardo atgm is still brokeeennnnn
appreciate the fix especially on the transmission LOL that thing was hell pls take a look into ATGMs they still have the weird trajectory
update i just tested it now the downhill is now OK but the climbing is unchanged tho note i used m1a2 abrams and still have the weird climbing gear shifting and the traction is much worse than before i kept sliding on slopes i can stick to easily before and those slopes are not even more than 25 degrees
These changes are very welcome we appreciate the fixes , but what's up with the performance dropping around 45% for most low-mid end users?? any tank that's on smoke or fire will instantly drop FPS like a rock.
This. Please address the problem.
true there are alot of times were i was set on fire and then die before FPE is finished
finally i can drive up a hill again with more than 5 km/h!
