Tactical air-to-surface missiles
Several models of tactical air-to-surface missiles will be added to the weapon presets of both new aircraft and aviation already researched by players. Two of them are really special, let’s take a closer look.
The Soviet Kh-29L is currently the largest guided missile in the game with a mass of 317kg for an armour-piercing high-explosive warhead. The missile was first tested in combat during the war in Afghanistan and has since been used and modernized for the needs of Russian aviation, and also for export. The Kh-29L has a laser homing system, so the launch of a high-precision weapon can be detected by a potential victim - if there are detection devices, of course.
The American AGM-65A Maverick missile, which will also appear in the “Ixwa Strike” update does not have this drawback. The electro-optical tv guidance system, yet unique to the game, will not permit the detection of the missile's targeting, the missile works in “fire and forget” mode. The disadvantage of an electro-optical television seeker is that the missile cannot be guided in poor visibility conditions: at night, in fog, heavy rain, or through clouds.
New hit effects
In our previous updates, we brought you new hit effects for aircraft and large-calibre naval guns. Here comes a global update for hit effects for all weapons in the game - aircraft, armoured, naval - for all calibres from 7 to 205 mm! Changes in the nature of the hit effect are especially visible when shooting at solid surfaces: concrete, metal, asphalt, soil, etc. In general, we have created a unified hit effect system for different types of projectiles of different calibres on different types of surfaces - more than 120 new effects in total! New hit effects will be added to the game in the near future.
Shell impact animations
In the vehicle card, when you hover the cursor over the different types of shells available, you will see a visual animation of the types of impact of the shell on the target. For example, armor-piercing effect causing shrapnel inside a tank or ship, the explosion of a proximity fuse shell to hit an air target, the action of an ATGM shaped-charge jet, and so on. These animated clues will help players to navigate in a huge variety of ammunition for all types of vehicles - land, air, and sea.
Chaff (radar confusing reflectors)
In the “Ixwa Strike” update, another means of radar countermeasures will be introduced in the game - dipole radar confusing reflectors, or ‘chaff’. Dipoles are a simple, cheap, and therefore a very common means of electronic countermeasures. These are small objects (strips of foil, metallized paper or fibreglass) that shoot out like a cloud behind the aircraft as a decoy target to defend against radar-guided missiles. Like the flares, dipole reflectors can “trick” an enemy missile, guiding it off course, initiate the proximity fuse of a chasing missile, or act as a decoy target for enemy radar.

Hey Gaijin. We all lub u guys and the game, and this stuff is super cool that you're adding and obviously is the culmination of some very hard work by the devs. But that doesn't change the feeling that a lot of players have that y'all are avoiding fixing some really outstanding core issues in the game; I won't list them here because other people have done a much better job than I could. These additions are super cool, but an update solely for major fixes would be even more appreciated by us.
i hope that for ground vehicles measures are taken so i can hide against those rockets etc, fi a barn u can hide in , or buildings and viaducts to hide under, and did u improve al the maps so they are bigger and we can do real tactical , instead of going headon . i hope that u also consider the gameplay, and not only the graphics . RB , again remove the non real aiming assist the ghostrings, that i never saw during , lessons on the gun of the leo 1 as a mech in the army
Chinese Rador SPAAS when?
Never no one wants to play china
WARNERwinsGAMING, bro, heaps of people play the Chinese tech tree. its just idiots like you who think that nobody plays it so stfu.
please change the schort time of 24 min , in plane RB back to 1 or two hours , so we cando some real gaming and tactical moves ( going high with a messersmidt ) or with a bomber rearm in the game time. and make the maps bigger so no return to BF when i am spirling down to not break my wings , pleas no more go back to Battle Field , when we are doing normal flight manouvres !. it takes time to fly a german plane in high altitudes , well if u play the game youreself u should know!.
So u fly the BV238... you space bombers are the whole reason they shortened the air RB matches GJ! Well done! #sarcasm
chaff , usefull on confusing radar and parties 'whoop whoop'
I'm really glad to see that Gaijin still believes that APHE shells behave like a grenade after penetrating the armor, even after the numerous bug reports proving how overperforming they currently are ! /s
found the britain main
BlondiFox, And ?
This is amazing, apsolutly great. Tho one thing i have to say is a APCBC shell or any balistic cap shell should align itself more flat to the angled armor when it hits not go through the ticker part at a steaper angle in the animation. its nothing big but i thought it should be just fliped.
That's not actually the case. The high hardness steel armor piercing part of the shell (AP) on conventional AP shells has a pointy tip. Their issue is that they fracture at very high speeds, and are less effective on sloped armor. The (C) cap is a soft metal that does two main things, spread the impact force over the whole shell to avoid shattering, and REDUCE deflections - not remove them. Since the caps are relatively flat, they cause a lot of drag, so a pointy balistic cap is used.
Xtanol, The balistic cap itself doesn't actually increase it's performance noticeably againt slopes, it just counteracts the downsides of adding the softer metal flat cap by restoring the pointy shape that improves balistic properties similar to the original AP - hence the name "Balistic cap". Blunt Nosed AP shells however (what the Russians mainly used) use a high hardness penetrator is shaped similar to the flat soft cap on western APC. Those "dig in" as the hard edge induce torgue on the shell.
Am like. Much wow.
Nice additions. :)
ok cool but where is Dardo IFV
