In the War Thunder "Ixwa Strike" update we will be introducing a new location for mixed battles, tentatively called "Seversk-13".
The abandoned Soviet military town of Seversk-13 and its environment will become a new battleground for the armoured vehicles and aircraft of War Thunder with the release of the “Ixwa Strike” major update. The central zone in the location is an area near the cultural centre, surrounded by administrative and industrial buildings. It is adjacent to a residential zone of late Soviet paneled prefab buildings and a small garage cooperative. Plenty room for hide and seek style gameplay.
A park area with architectural objects in the style of the late 70’s flows into a suburban environment with hills and small groves. Running north to south on the location’s map, there is a section of highway that will allow players to quickly break through to the control point outside town, but is easily targeted by snipers from both teams.
Attack aircraft can freely work on targets outside the urban areas, but watch out for anti-aircraft guns that can easily be hidden between buildings or in the park area in bushes. The hills on the approach to the location are able to shelter helicopter guided missiles to their targets.
Welcome to Seversk-13, a new location for mixed battles in War Thunder! Battles in the new map will begin with the release of the "Ixwa Strike" update very soon - stay tuned!

Ah another urban map in a game that desperately needs large country side maps, and good top tier maps like Volokolamsk are taken outside the map rotation.
Pretty excited for this one~ I hope we can get a Pripyat map someday - which is what I originally thought this was just from the teaser :P

Dear Gaijin: maps need to be memorable, easy to recognise to be favorable with diverse gameplay option. This map is it, some long range some medium some CQC. All maps should be more like this. Thank you for a new map, I was really dissapointed last year with no new tank maps. I hope you continue to implement new maps and you should really give forum map suggestions a major consideration, specialy for your increassing ammount of top tier vehicles which need maps made just for top tier. Thank you.
Honestly, I do not understand the hype about city maps.
Dear Gaijin! Please, in the future, surprise us with a few big maps. With more and more modern vehicles, what irl designed to engage with the enemy from 2Km away, the small urban maps starts to be less and less enjoyable. Please, at least just think about it. Thank you in advance
If it will be possible to play there on normal distance (500 meters and more), then OK, if not and this will be another barrels swordplay around building corner map, then I leave to hangar. Like in Alaska, Sweden and other similar trash. If I play "realistic" battles, I expect realistic combat distance.
The map is really cool, reminds me of my youth days. Every eastern european will find resemblence of their neighborhouds in this map. Having said that, we need larger maps for top tier.
Nice, but still too small, and too much Buildings. Also remove AA for closest helipads, cuz you can't have Dogfight without getting hit by one
Soo is this going to be another map filled with useless crap and walls to artificially slow gameplay?
