November the 11th is a very special day in the hearts of the Polish People. 101 years ago, the truce in Compiègne ended the Great War. Poland, a country divided between the German, Russian and Austro-Hungarian Empires, after 123 years of constant battles and uprisings regained its independence. To celebrate this anniversary, we have prepared something special for all our Players! Let us celebrate this significant achievement together!
Until the 13th of November (7 GMT), participate in 3 battles using vehicles of rank 3 and above and with an activity of 60% or more to receive the decal “Independence Day of Poland”.
Tasks can be done in the random battles except Enduring Confrontation and Assault missions
To follow your progress just click on your Nickname → Achievements → Independence Day of Poland.

But of that "101 years" a good chunk of it was spent occupied by someone or other, or as a puppet regime.
You are basically right, but the event should not be considered as 101 years of independence, but as 101st anniversary of regaining independence. Here in Poland we always consider it in the second meaning.
I hope for Gaijin's sake that this isnt the only event being announced today. Ignoring Armistice Day and only showing support for the Poles is nothing more than disrespectful for the far more important holiday today.
Not to mention the fact that most of Europe and North America hold Remembrance Day/ Armistice Day/ Veterans' Day in high esteem. Big fail gaijin.
Happy Independence day Poland!
What about Czechoslovakia having 101st anniversary of Regaining Independence two weeks ago? Czechoslovakian even has more tanks and aircrafts in War Thunder than Poland, while having less decals. That makes me sad.
i hope one day we'll get our trees, or at least a joint one :)
I would love to see some Polish vehicles in the game!
There'd better be something for Veterans day.
November the 11th is a special day in the hearts of many many countries, it's Armistice Day. Sure lets just celebrate the independence day of Poland.
before the end of ww1 poland was ocxupied by russians, germans and austrains for whole 123 years Reply
MagnificentMan, So what? Independence Day of Poland is a non event for most and insignificant in comparison to Armistice Day.
Is Gaijin going to even acknowledge that Poland wasnt really independent during Soviet rule? Or just conveniently gloss over that Poland has only been independent since 1989?
Nice to see Poland get some love, not gonna lie I was hoping to see something for Armistice Day though.
