Today marks the official 72nd Anniversary of the U.S. Air Force! On September 18, 1947, Stuart Symington became the first Secretary of the Air Force as US Army Air Corps bases came under Air Force Command and a 4th branch of the U.S. Military was born. Through battle, training, and experience in their 72 years of service, the USAF has grown into a domineering world force of over 20,000 Pilots, 300k active troops, and more than 5,400 Aircraft across the globe.
From 15:00 GMT on the 18th of September till 07:00 GMT on the 20th of September
Win 3 battles with an ingame activity of 60% or higher using US aircraft of rank III and above, and receive one of 3 memorable decals.
You can follow your progress by clicking on your Nickname → Achievements → US Air Force Day. Tasks for victories can be completed in all game modes except “Enduring Confrontation” and “Assault”. After completing the tasks you will find the decals in “Decals → USA”.

Special? Yawn
I've wanted the Hap Arnold for a long time. I hope I get it :')
Thank you Gaijin, as a former Air-Force member I feel appreciated when you guys represent my branch in your game. I will get those emblems and wear them with pride! Dont forget my brothers in sisters in the Army and Navy too pls.
Can we get some more in game camouflages for American fighters?
I won 3 battles with the overall activity of 60% or more, yet that achievement is not marked as completed and I didn't get a decal. and the progress of the achievement just stopped (it says "Missions won: 3; End: Sep 20th, 3:59 GMT"). What should I do now?
Play one more battle, restart game or wait a little more. It needs some time to refresh.
Thanks Gaijin, unlike others who complain about free stuff as someone with family in the USAF I appreciate it!
should give a god-damn medal to anyone to get a br 4 to 6 Attacker thu to the end of a match...hows about an event just with attackers?
yikes
the day the Military Industrial Complex and its secrets were created.
Spotted; another Area 51 rusher.
and what about other's nation air force day, i dont remenber have a italian, french, japanese air force day event or even a German one (maybe was in the past and i didnt notice)
They gave decals for the french in july and russian stylized flag the pasr few months. Must be great to be selectively blind...
They had Brit, Russia, in past. Other nations probably changed hands too many times to declare "their" Air Forces day. I.E. the JDF started in '47(?) but IJAAF started in the 20's(?). Germany; was Imperial, shut down, reborn German in early 30's, shut down, reborn W.German/DDR in 48-49(?), then German Luftwaffe in late 80's. Italy; Royal(?) in Great War, Imperial most WW2, Republic in '44, today ??(Never studied Italy much). Italy just added this year, so maybe in future?
