Yesterday, during the first set of YouTube Cup tournament matches, we unexpectedly faced various, specific technical related issues. For example, the SprotenFuh team was unable to block the mode they did not want to participate in. Additionally, due to connection issues, one of the members of “Irrelevant” was not able to join.
We have also found that specific match settings were incorrect. All of these issues caused displeasure for both the participants and viewers of the tournament.
After corresponding with the teams, we have jointly decided to postpone the tournament until all potential technical issues are found. We would like to thank all of the YouTube Cup participants for their support, and wish them the best of luck in the future contests!
We would also like to apologize to both the participants and the viewers. We hope to see you again in a few weeks in the renewed YouTube Cup!

Unfortunately, there were multiple technical issues during first round of the YT cup matches. The whole goal of the YT cup was for it to be an interesting and entertaining event for the community, and it is neither fun nor productive to wrestle with technical issues instead of playing the tournament. It was much fun when it was working, and so all teams agreed that we will iron out details and re-run the whole thing in 2-8 weeks, and this time - at weekend. We sincerely apologize to everyone who was awaiting the final tomorrow and we hope to see you all on next take on the YT cup.
Why do "Influencers" need rewards? I dont understand why I should be interested?
"Why should people who help the game grow and give it free advertisement get rewards?"
CodePhantom, They already get monthly rewards lol
>Make tourney with big prizes for guys with partership, make a lot of HYPE about it >You dont listen e-sport players to make better tourneys for everyone with some Majors with big prizes Most of WTeS Community is angry about that move
no offense but, if you know there is WTeS community, please tell them who use ULQ in tournament to stop it. :) just saying..
Greencrusher44, Why to stop? In every game the best players using the lowers grafic quality? So why you want any diffrence here?
Good thing that tournament players who play in your sub-par made league get 10 times less rewards lmao
We organize 107 (!) tournaments per week open to the whole War Thunder Community. In 7 years of War Thunder, we only had single tournament for Content Creators. Considered they support the company considerably, this is the least we can do.
Thulle_, You're lucky if you can play 3 tournaments on a single day and you will probably have to forfeit one of those if you want to win another one. Content creators already get all the eagles and stuff they want from you. What's the point? This is going to be forgotten in a week. Instead of rewarding loyal players like Xal, you just slap them in the face with "We don't care about your dedication to our game, you're better just uploading xd memes to youtube and you'll get everyhing you want and more"
I don't know what all the fuss is about. They used to have daily "historical battles" for air RB that would have RP and or SL boost rewards for the win. There would be one or more battles daily that would rotate throughout the month. Now they have things like this tournament instead. Isn't this better than some moldy old battle that rewards regular players and adds an optional battle mode, different from the usual random battle? We like stale meta and stale modes don't we?
According to several sources, during the 2 most recent updates the amount of players online spiked higher than anytime in the last 2-3 years. I would assume that this would be a critical time offer as much battle content and variety as possible to retain these new players and those who have "come back" to the game for the supersonic additions. However, it seems like there is less content as far as battles. Special events (not including "rare vehicle" ones) have all but ceased. And squibs? Stale.
NewEnglander, I love this game. I am grateful for the effort that is put into it. I play every day and as such I see the effects of balance, meta, updates, and how it transforms the community. The game is falling short in places where it shouldn't and it does effect the overall state of affairs. Sadly without the metadata and analytics of the game as well as lack of transparency about changes and development, community members can't offer their time to help their beloved War Thunder with any measure of effect
I don't want to be *That guy*, but these guys are already given 50k GE + vehicles of their choice as they request them. Why should we, mere commoners, care at all?
because they are influencers who people like to watch them???
Because people watch them for free any other day.
I do not get it... This tournment is only for war thunder "influencers" there is no possibility for a normal player to take part in it, no rewards for following the stream, I don't see how most of the playerbase could be interested in this ...
There will be rewards for viewers of the stream.
Its called entertainment, do you not watch youtubers play this game at all??
Can we get some weekend event instead? Good luck to influencers fighting for rewards I can not get, but I really do not care.
Dude its just for entertainment and your enjoyment .
GoldenSentinel29, but it ends up frustrating the players playing normal torunaments , and people who wants the E100. because gaijin keeps using it as bait for the Stupid "Tournaments" that always fail or flop.
Still no "Dog Tags" or any other bonuses for audience, so why even bother?
yeah, shame there isnt any dog tags :(
you realize you can play tournaments still right??? Like this doesn't stop you from playing tournaments with non-influencers. Its just for entertainment and marketing a way of expanding war thunders audience.
Makes a decent tourny, Makes it youtuber/streamers only. No offence, i like the idea but i think that it being made youtuber / streamers only is meh.
So...the rewards are to give GE and unique vehicles to people who already get GE and unique vehicles on request? That...makes no sense. Might be entertaining to watch at least. :)
only 1st and second place gets the vehicles, massive waste of time.
Actually we don't get tons of GE and unique vehicles all the time, we have to create content and said content has to do well to earn the content partner perks, oh and the unique vehicles are not given out so the E-100 is equally as rare to me as you
