Helicopters! A new type of vehicle has appeared in War Thunder in update 1.81 “The Valkyries”, and by tradition, the first ones to take control of this deadly vehicle type will be the Testers..
Become a tester: from 19th of September to 19th of October
How to become a tester
Join the team: complete missions or become the owner of a set of helicopters and unlock access to the closed beta test!

Complete 10 daily tasks to receive tester status and gain access to the helicopter CBT.

Be an owner of one of the bundles and get the tester status immediately.
Terms and conditions:
- A tester star is given for 5 victories if you control any U.S. or USSR vehicle of ranks 5-6 in random battles with a minimum 60% battle activity.
- Receive a unique “Valkyrie” decal for 12 tester stars.
- Daily tasks for “Tester stars” will be updated at 11:00 GMT each day.
- You may only receive one “Tester star” per day.
- You need to win a battle whilst controlling any vehicle of ranks 5 or 6 from the USA or USSR research tree for a guaranteed receipt of the “Tester Star”. You should be in control one of these vehicle by the end of the battle.
- You can follow the progress by clicking your Nickname - Achievements - Helicopter CBT"
If you already purchased one of the bundles, then you will automatically get access to the helicopter CBT.

Helicopters are available in the following modes:
- combined Arcade battles (in air battle mode at BR 9.0 or higher see details in “Game mechanics)
- combined Realistic mode if it at least one has been researched, purchased and added to a crew slot.
- combined simulator battles (line-ups 9_2, 11_2).
- helicopter arcade battles in “events and tournaments” tab
- helicopter realistic battles in “events and tournaments” tab
Helicopters in update 1.81 “The Valkyries” will be first time available only to CBT participants.

Great job guys Mi-24D is so fun i just spended some time to learn to fly the new hellicopter and adjust the controls as i wanted,totally worth the Hind Pack!
damn game so unbalanced, thanks gaijin!!! last battle we have 5 AAA vehicle vs 2 Mi-24HND spamming TOW 5KM away, how can you counter or kill HELOS with ATGM shooting at 5KM? that BS gaijin! thank for ruining the game.
Any chance on having another way to get that decal? I hate jets, and don't have tier 5 tanks (and so no use for a helicopter), but i wan't that decal >.<. Tried just doing 5 wins in jets, but there's no way im going to manage 12 days of this without shooting myself.
its a decal, i like em' too but really because you're to lazy to grind the way they want you just go asking for a super easy way to get a decal thats meant to harder to earn
